FitnessGram Enterprise System Requirements Preliminary
The FitnessGram Enterprise version is intended to be used by teachers without requiring any software to
be installed in individual schools or on individual computers. It does this by making all FitnessGram
functions available using an Internet browser, accessing district and/or school owned web servers that
run the FitnessGram software.
This document is intended to be used as a guide for estimating the server hardware that will be required
by a client that plans to implement the FitnessGram Enterprise edition.
Server Types and Requirements:
Two servers are needed by the FitnessGram system:
Web Server and SQL (database) Server. The minimum specifications for each of those servers are
described in this section.

Database environment must support TDE encryption
Microsoft SQL Server 2014
Windows Server 2012 R2 or higher
Microsoft SQL Server software must be set to mixed mode authentication.
The SQL account to be used by FitnessGram needs to use SQL Authentication and have
all rights including create database.
a. SQL account password cannot be changed and does not expire or the
application will become inaccessible.

Web server requirements

Windows Server 2012 R2 or higher
The FitnessGram server must run IIS Version 8
The FitnessGram server must support .Net 4.5 Framework or higher
The FitnessGram server cannot have ColdFusion/or any other Server side Frameworks installed
on it.
FitnessGram must be installed and run as the default website on your dedicated server.
FitnessGram Folders cannot be moved after the installation.
o moving FG folders will prevent your ability to apply updates
FitnessGram can be installed in a virtual environment.
