... is an intimate conference centre, near Frodsham
in Cheshire.

The house is in a rural setting which makes it an
ideal location for groups or individuals to meet, relax
and be refreshed. Foxhill is situated in some of the
most stunning countryside in the whole of Cheshire.

Foxhill is only a couple of miles from Junction 12
(or 14) on the M56, and provides the perfect location
for exploring Chester, North Wales, the Peak
District, Liverpool or Manchester. There are also
regular rail services to and from Frodsham or
Helsby; both stations only a mile or so from the
centre.

The cost for the day is £20
The main house was the one-time residences of the
Pilkington family – who generously donated their
home to the Diocese of Chester in the late 1960’s.
The centre is regularly used for the training of
anglican clergy, parish week-ends and study days.
But the home is open to people of all faiths or none.

VIVIEN GISBY was brought up in Bradford but
has lived in a number of different parts of the
country in latter years.
Vivien has worked as both a professional
librarian and an information scientist but is now
the Vicar of the parish of St John the
Evangelist, Weston, in the Diocese of Chester.
Vivien writes - “I came to faith soon after we
moved to Macclesfield in 1994 and was a
Reader for several years and also one of the
leaders of a church plant before I was ordained
in 2008.
I have three grown-up children. I enjoy singing,
walking my border terrier, doing cross stitch,
eating out and going to the cinema with my
family. I have a particular interest in helping
people to grow
in their faith
and enjoy
running
courses,
retreats and
study groups.
