As the leader in offshore structural analysis and design, Bentley is bringing together its solutions for engineering content management, advanced engineering simulation and analysis, and asset performance management to deliver a game‐changing approach to structural integrity management. Learn how Bentley’s unique approach to interoperability using open industry standards and strong partnerships with other vendors helps deliver pragmatic, open solutions for asset information management, construction modeling, and reality modeling. This approach reduces project risks, lowers costs, and enables a common platform for improving safety and efficiency. Nils Sandsmark, General Manager, POSC‐Caesar Association Gordon McPhee, Director, Business Development, Bentley Systems Project Delivery : Visibility into the Path of Construction 13:45 14:30 Landmark research by Independent Project Analysis, Inc. shows that 65 percent of industrial megaprojects fail. For owner‐operators, indicators of project failure in terms of cost overruns and schedule slippage usually come as a complete surprise – due to a lack of visibility into the path of construction and absence of real‐time awareness of work‐in‐progress construction status. Without that visibility, by the time issues are realized it is too late to intervene and resolve them. Advances in work packaging and workface planning, however, are improving construction efficiency. Moreover, they are providing owner‐operators greater insight into project status, eliminating surprises and improving outcomes. In this session learn how Bentley’s ProjectWise Construction Work Package Server is providing that visibility to owners on the most challenging oil and gas projects a success. Glen Worrall, Solutions Director, Bentley Systems Asset Integrity Modeling : The Future of Structural Integrity Management 14:45 15:30 An effective Structural Integrity Management system is one of the most important barriers against catastrophic failure in complex industrial facilities. As critical energy infrastructure grows ever larger and more complex, often operating in harsh and ecologically sensitive environments, and as both physical and financial operating margins are squeezed, structural integrity is literally being stretched to the breaking point. For leading owner‐operators, taking responsibility for their integrity management is a top priority. Demonstrating and proving that their assets are safe is driving some of the most sophisticated process safety and integrity management system implementations in the world. This presentation discusses the overall process of integrity management, and looks at the software components and technologies involved, the information flows and the inherent challenges. Bentley’s vision for this area will also be presented. Mark Biagi, Solutions Executive, Process and Power, Bentley Systems Panel Discussion: The ROI of Standards in the Oil & Gas Industry 15:30 16:15 16:30 17:00 Nils Sandsmark, General Manager, POSC‐Caesar Association Glen Worrall, Solutions Director, Bentley Systems Mark Biagi, Solutions Executive, Process and Power, Bentley Systems Gordon McPhee, Director, Business Development, Bentley Systems Oil and Gas Q&A Nils Sandsmark, General Manager, POSC‐Caesar Association Glen Worrall, Solutions Director, Bentley Systems Mark Biagi, Solutions Executive, Process and Power, Bentley Systems Gordon McPhee, Director, Business Development, Bentley Systems CONNECTION Event Oslo Bridge Design and Analysis Application Seminar Tuesday, May 19, 2015 13:00 13:45 The Future of Bridge Design, Modeling and Analysis: 3D Modeling from Design to Decommission Design, modeling and analysis are keys to the success of bridge projects. Bentley’s next generation of bridge modeling software is purpose‐built for bridge designers and consultants who need to create, augment, maintain, and document a wide variety of bridge information throughout the lifecycle of the project. Sharing information in an information‐rich 3D model increases data quality, collaboration and asset management, and reduces overall costs for the entire ecosystem involved. Intelligent 3D models are key to accelerated project delivery and information mobility. This presentation will provide a demonstration of how this powerful new software interoperates with Bentley civil design and collaboration tools, giving users a fresh approach to bridge projects of all sizes. Gregor Strekelj, Technical Support Analyst, Bentley Systems Bridge Information Modeling: Solutions for Bridges of all Sizes: Concrete, Steel, Suspension, Cable‐Stayed and More 13:45 14:30 The concept of BrIM (Bridge Information Modeling) has become reality for today’s bridge projects. BrIM is an innovative approach to bridge design, construction, operations, and project delivery, resulting in the creation of an information‐rich data model that can be used for the life of the bridge. All indicators point to a readiness for an intelligent and data‐rich 3D model that connects design, construction, operations, and maintenance. Bentley’s LEAP, RM Bridge, InspectTech, and new modeling software solutions can reduce construction costs with more economical designs and improve design quality. Discover how to model the step‐by‐step construction process in 4D, and realistically visualize projects with imagery and virtual drive‐thrus. The growing popularity of design‐build and P3 projects has set the stage for higher owner expectations for faster and more efficient methods of building our transportation assets. Vanja Samec, BrIM Director, Global RM Bridge, Bentley Systems 14:45 15:30 RM Bridge: 2D/3D/4D Bridge Modeling, Design, Analysis, Fabrication, and Construction Used worldwide by consulting engineering firms, government transportation organizations, contractors, and project consortia, RM Bridge sets the standard for both routine and signature bridge design and delivery.
