• You need to research and take notes on a main event or issue that is facing
any country in North America.
• Be able to describe what the problem is and why it is occurring.
• Why is it significant?
• How does it affect the people?
• How do you think it could be fixed.
• Be able to provide evidence to support your answer!
• Be ready to discuss in class on Wednesday, May 13!
Monday 5/11 – Do Now
• What are the major influences shaping the cultural on North, Central, and
South America?
• You need to bring in a piece of cardboard, size A4, by next Sunday. This will
be a graded on Thursday, based on whether you have brought it in or not!
Review Game!
• You will be divided into groups!
• Each group must pick a captain or spokesman!
• You will be given a question to answer. Your group will complete the answer
and WALK it up to the teacher. (If you get it wrong the first time, you can try
again)

be a graded on Thursday (tomorrow), based on whether you have brought it
in or not!
Wednesday 5-13 Assignment
• You will be divided into groups of 3.
• You will share and discuss your current events with your group.
• You must take notes on each others events.
• We will have a brief discussion at the end of class.

• Do you think that everyone in the U.S. is the same? Why or why not? Be

You will be given a number 1-4 and divided into groups based on your numbers.
Based on your number, you will read and take notes about that section of the
Chapter 6.3(Page 145) – Northeast (1) Midwest (2) South (3) West (4)
After you take notes, you will be regrouped based on your number and you will
have 1-4 in each group.
You will share the notes you took with each other to complete the worksheet.
