FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE [QUINCY, MA, April 27, 2015] Father Bill’s & MainSpring (FBMS)
recently received a $10,000 grant from BJ’s Charitable Foundation. FBMS will use the grant to help fund The
Table, a community lunch program based out of MainSpring House in Brockton. The Table provides free
healthy meals to men, women and children six days a week, serving approximately 65,000 meals annually.
“We are grateful for the continued support of BJ’s Charitable Foundation,” said John Yazwinski, President &
CEO of FBMS. “The Table has seen a 27% increase in demand since 2013. We are now serving 200 or more
people a day, including families and seniors. With this generous grant from BJ’s Charitable Foundation, we can
support this increase in demand to ensure that no one who comes to our doors goes hungry.”
“Helping people in need, especially in the area of hunger prevention is one of the main priorities for BJ’s
Charitable Foundation,” said Jessica Newman, Executive Director of the BJ’s Charitable Foundation. “We are
very proud to continue our support to Father Bill’s & MainSpring as they work to solve hunger locally for so
many individuals and families.”
Father Bill’s & MainSpring was one of 59 organizations across BJ’s 15-state footprint to receive funding during
this grant cycle. BJ’s Charitable Foundation donated a total of $252,880 to nonprofits that are committed to
improving the lives of those in each of their communities.
