Dear Sir:
It is a sincere pleasure to extend to you a cordial invitation to participate in the 58th
Annual Henderson Amateur Invitational Golf Championship to be held Saturday and
Sunday, May 2nd & May 3rd. The entry fee for this years Championship will be $150.00.
This years Championship will be a 36 hole Medal Play Tournament governed by USGA
Rules with local exceptions as announced by the Tournament Committee. Flights will be
determined based on 1st round scores. Prizes will be awarded to the top five finishers in
each flight. There will be a sudden death play-off for first place in the Championship
Flight; all other ties will be determined by a scorecard play-off beginning on the #1
handicap hole, progressing to the #2 handicap hole, etc.
We are pleased to have The Occoneechee Council, Boy Scouts of America as a sponsor
and beneficiary of the tournament. Our association with the Boy Scouts of America has
been both pleasant and rewarding for all golfers involved and we hope our link to them
can continue for years to come.
With our wonderful clubhouse & a couple of fantastic improvements on the golf course,
this year’s tournament is certain to be very special. We have enjoyed great participation
and a fantastic field over the past few years and we hope to have the same this year. The
field will be limited to the first 144 entrants and all entries must be submitted by April 25,
2015.
This year’s entry fee includes the following:
1– 54 Holes of Golf, 36 holes of tour nament golf (car ts included) and an
18-hole practice round (carts are extra). Practice rounds may be scheduled
beginning April 15th
2 – Tee Gifts
3 – Saturday and Sunday breakfast biscuits and lunch will be pr ovided to
PARTICIPANTS ONLY. Breakfast served from 7:30 to 11:00 and lunch
served from 11:00am to 2:00pm. Our snack-bar will be open to sell
refreshments to participants and spectators.
4 – Saturday Night Music, cocktails with Hor s d’oeuvres Party and Dancing.
Spouse or one Special Guest are invited to attend.
from 7:30pm – 10:30pm and a Lighted Putting Contest on the practice
green.
5 – Merchandise Gift Certificates pr izes will be awarded for all flights.
