The Institute for Translational Sciences is proud to announce
JESSE ERASMUS
Congratulations to Jesse Erasmus, who is a student in the ITS Human Pathophysiology &
Translational Medicine (HPTM) Graduate Program, for being awarded the Maurice R. Hilleman
Early-Stage Career Investigator Award from the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases at its
Annual Conference on Vaccine Research, in Baltimore, April 13-15, 2015. Additional applause to Mr.
Erasmus, as it is notable that the other two finalists for this award were postdoctoral fellows and that
previous awardees, since 2007, were also all postdoctoral fellows.
