Long days and short nights.
Summer Vacations is at your doorstep. Holidays are a well deserved
opportunity to relax and unwind by indulging in activities that are
pleasurable and educative at the same time.
It is a time to explore the magnificient hills in the North to ever exciting water
bodies in the South, the cultural heritage sites of the West to the amazing
scenic seven sisters in the East.
Holidays are great but school work can be fun filled and inspiring too!
It has been designed so as to fire the imagination of students while expecting
them to explore, discover and re-invent.
Also remember----- The homework should be done neatly and with sincerity.
 Please ensure that the work should be original and is to be done by you
in your own handwriting wherever required.

A code is a way of writing a message in secret. Each letter of the alphabet is replaced by a number. A-1,
B-2, C-3, D-4, E-5 ………………….., Y-25, Z-26 .
So if you want to write : I am a student.
You will write your secret message as:

Using this way of coding, introduce yourself in five lines and also write the names of any 5
mathematicians on A3 size sheet.

importance of honeybee in nature, pollination though bees,
contribution of honeybees in food production, bees and their
role in forest livelihood, reasons for their disappearance and
human role to protect honeybees from any harm.

2. Energy Explorations: Collect information on renewable and non- renewable sources of
energy,
their importance and harmful effects on the environment, compare energy use and CO2 emissions by any
three countries, sustainable energy solutions. Also write any two resolutions addressing energy use and
write a catchy slogan to bring awareness in people on conservation of energy. Paste related picture on A-4
sheet.

3. Prepare an album or picture gallery of any five animals like mammals, insects, reptiles and
birds. Paste their photographs showing eating habits and special body features used for

Grow any one plant without seed. Write its botanical name, part of the plant used for vegetative
