Jenkins Announcements – Tuesday, May 12, 2015
Have you ever wanted to try archery? Come to the before school Archery Club from 7:308:15 am in the gym. This week it will be on Monday and Wednesday. The club is open to
anyone, but you will need to have a permission slip signed by your parents. If you already
have a permission slip for PE you won’t need another one. You must be here by 7:35 am to
participate. Please wear close toed shoes, no flip flops! See Mrs. Harper in the gym if you
have any questions and to get a permission slip.
Mrs. Yonker’s After School Mural Students--We will have our pizza party this Thursday,
May 14, at 3:45pm. Please tell Mrs. Yonker if you will be there before Wednesday, so she
can order pizza.
Come join the after school Running Club. We meet all year long, usually on Tuesday
afternoons from 3:45-4:45 pm. We will run outside on local trails and through
neighborhoods. Everyone is welcome even if you don’t have much running experience. So
come on out and join us, get in shape for other sports, or just for the fun of running! After
attending 10 times you will receive a free t-shirt! You will need to get a permission slip
from Mrs. Harper before the first run to participate. See Mrs. Harper in the gym for a
permission slip and if you have any questions.
Jenkins has a Student Led Prayer Group that meets every Thursday morning from 8:00 to
8:25 am in Mrs. Yonker’s Art Room A170. Please come to the red door in front of the
school by the colorful circular design in the window to enter. We will meet this Thursday
morning. We would love to have you come every Thursday or drop in when you have a
specific prayer request. We also have a prayer request box on the wall to the left of the
Art Room door. Please use only first names to respect confidentiality.
