Today we lift up in prayer the following sophomores: Kayla Pintar, Alaysha Pitts, Gabriel
Poppert and Mr. Shawn Heckert in our Technology Education Department.
MEET OUR NEW FOOTBALL COACH: Mr. Erich Janousky this Friday, January 30th at 3:15 in the
Cafeteria. All current and prospective football players should attend this brief informational meeting.
STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING BEGINS: after school on Monday, February 2nd at 3:15 in the
weight room. The schedule for the program will be posted on the weight room door. Plan ahead, so you
are ready to go this coming Monday. The program runs 4 days a week – Monday to Thursday, there is
nothing scheduled for Fridays. Boys should use the upstairs PE Locker room to change, girls use the girls
PE locker room by the old gym.
ATHLETES INVOLVED IN WINTER SPORTS: Team photos will be taken after school on February 4.

Be sure to have your clean uniform with you that day! Coaches will hand out order forms.
“CUPID KISSES”: Student Council will be selling “Cupid Kisses” next week during lunches. This is a
larger version of a spirit smack from Homecoming week. Each student is limited to purchasing one at
$1. These will be delivered during lunches on Thursday, February 12th! Send one to your boyfriend,
girlfriend or even just a friend.
Like Video Games? We are starting the first ever Video Game Club at MLHS. We will be playing some
of your favorite multiplayer games on computers and console games on the projector screens. If you are
interested, please see Mr. Heckert in room 300 for more information and to pick up a form to join.
PACK THE GYM & WINTER DANCE: We will be “packing the gym” on Friday, January 30th for the
Varsity boys’ basketball game!!! Students come at 6:30pm in the cafeteria in order to get a special free
t-shirt! First come, first serve! If you are unable to get a special t-shirt, please wear black to make the
fan section a black-out. Immediately following the game until 11:00pm, we will have our annual Winter
Dance in the cafeteria. Admission is $3 and you must show your current student ID to get in.
WINTER WARP: Mark your calendars for our semi-formal Winter Warp dance. This dance will take
place on Saturday, February 14th from 7-10pm. Tickets for this dance must be purchased in advance
and will cost $20/couple or $10 for a single. Tickets will go on sale the week of February 2nd and will be
sold during lunches only. This dance is for MLHS students only!
JUNIORS AND SENIORS – Now is the time to start thinking about COLLEGE!! The following colleges
will be visiting our school in the near future. You MUST obtain a pass from Mrs. Dummann in the
Guidance Office at least 2 days prior to the college visit and get the signature of the teacher whose class
you will miss.

Applications for all AP and Upper-Level Honors courses are Now Available in the Guidance
Office: Applications must be completed and submitted to the instructor by Thursday, February 19th.

BEGIN REGISTRATION FOR THE 2015-2016 SCHOOL YEAR NOW!
All families MUST register their students online at MyTads.com
 All current families should have received an email from TADS to re-enroll your student. You
must open that email and click on the link provided in the email that says: Click Here to
Re-Enroll. We need you to go through the link provided because it has a 4 digit code
embedded in the link. If you no longer have the email, you will need to call the TADS
support line at 1-800-477-8237 in order to get a code. This re-enrollment needs to be
completed before registering for classes.
 CURRENT MPCP FAMILIES: Call Jean Dummann (ext. 253) in the month of January to
schedule a MPCP application appointment for the Open Enrollment Period of February 2 – 20,
2015.
Soccer Open Gyms: Interested in playing soccer? We will be having open gym times in the fieldhouse
every Thursday evening from 7:30-9:00. These open gyms are co-ed, but any girls interested in playing
in the spring season are especially encouraged to come. If you have any questions, please see Mr.
Hantak in room 201.
Testimonial Tuesdays: Do you have a story of a way God has shown Himself to you or worked in
your life? Share God’s goodness and mercy with us by submitting your testimony to the student council
spiritual life committee for Tuesday devotions. You can read it yourself or have it read anonymously.
See James Jeninga or Joe Greco for more information.
Prayer Box: If you’re going through a hard time or just need a little support in your daily life, the
Student Council Spiritual Life Committee would love to pray for you. Drop off your prayer requests in
the new Prayer Boxes in the Guidance and Attendance Offices.
RED KNIGHT BASKETBALL FANS – DRESS UP THEMES: Any Red Knight fan, young or old, that is
interested in dressing up with our student section at basketball games this season can use the following
schedule to plan their attire for the games. Go Red Knights!!!

1. RESOURCE STUDY CENTER – math tutors are needed every FRIDAY! See Mrs. Forke, if you

2. IMMANUEL LUTHERAN SCHOOL/DAY CARE – movers are needed – SATURDAY, JANUARY
31ST – 9:00. Lunch provided!
3. DINNER THEATER – FRIDAY, FEB. 6TH AND SATURDAY, FEB. 7TH – dinner servers needed!
