Volume 1, Issue 1 October 5, 2015 October’s Fun Festivities Longhorn News MCLEOD ISD October is sure to be a fun-filled month for the students, families, and faculty members of McLeod ISD! The first planned event for this fall is the Sadie Hawkins Dance. The Middle School’s dance will be held on October 16, 2015 in the cafeteria, from 7:0010:00 PM. The High School’s Dance will be held on October 17, 2015 same time and location. See Mrs. Glenda Smith, Mrs. Susan Collins, or Mrs. Brandi Murdock for tickets. Tickets cost $10 for couples or $5 for an individual! If you would like to purchase a McLeod Sadie Hawkins Dance t-shirt for $12, see Mrs. Glenda Smith, Mrs. Whittemore, or Mrs. Mason. A BIG THANKS to our school board members, Mrs. May, and Mr. Spurlin, for approving the dance and our BOOM organization for hosting and organizing all of the details! Fall Festival Carnival games, prizes, candy, food , and loads of FUN for the whole family, at the school’s Fall Festival, to be held on October 23, 2015, from 6:00-9:00 PM! All of the festivities will be held in the courtyard in front of the practice gym and cafeteria. Tickets will need to be purchased in order to participate in the games! You may wear costumes or just come as you are! Let’s help make the Fall Festival a success! Check out these #’s!! Sports News Congratulations to the Varsity Girls for winning the Redwater Cross Country Meet! Varsity Boys also had a successful meet! Congrats to these athletes and coaches for an Outstanding Winning Weekend!! District Champions!! “The way a team plays as a whole determines its success. You may have the greatest bunch of individual stars in the world, but if they don't play together, the club won't be worth a dime.” ~Babe Ruth Congratulations to the Middle School Baseball Team on winning their District Tournament!
