Position: Corporate Sponsorship Manager Reports to: VP – Marketing and Communications Position Summary: The Corporate Sponsorship Manager develops relationships with corporations, businesses, professionals and individuals with the goal of generating revenue to offset the costs of Federation fundraising events and community engagement and outreach programs. This position will provide stewardship for sponsorship and ensure that agreed upon recognition benefits are fulfilled as agreed, including naming opportunities for events and programs, branding, signage, advertising, printed materials, giveaways, speaking opportunities, tickets and other forms of recognition. The individual will focus on relationships at the $2,500 level and above by leveraging existing recognition packages based on the customers goals and objectives and the needs of the Federation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Enhance and refine Federation’s menu of sponsorship package alternatives. Develop strategies to attract and retain sponsors at all giving levels from $2,500 and over. Cultivate and solicit existing and new sponsors Research prospects for possible sponsorships at all levels; collaborate with lay leaders, donors, existing sponsors and professionals to identify high-opportunity potential sponsor prospects. Manage Federation’s existing portfolio of sponsor relationships. Use Federation database management system and other tools and resources to track, analyze and report on current and prospective sponsor opportunities. Ensure compliance with sponsor requirements and expectations. Provide results information to sponsors to assist them in achieving ROI analysis. Accountable for ensuring sponsorship recognition occurs as promised by acting as point of contact with Events, Marketing, Campaign and Program departments. Find creative ways to appropriately thank and recognize corporate sponsors with a coordinated approach to acknowledgment and recognition at all levels. Establish and achieve pre-determined sponsorship goals Write and present sponsorship proposal as requested and required. Compile facts, publicity, support letters and maintain a file of such documents for ready inclusion in proposal/informational packets. Research and write grant applications. Qualifications and Success Factors: Must be goal oriented and highly self-motivated. Have experience in marketing/sales in a B2B professional environment. Demonstrate a record of success in a goal-oriented environment. Must be a team player, successful in a collaborative work environment. Ability to develop innovative solutions and creative problem solving Excellent written and oral communication skills. Technical competence in using MS Office Suite and proprietary database/relationship management software. Must be willing to work some evenings and Sundays.
