KEENEY KNOB TRACT:
The Keeney Knob tract is 4,589 +/- acres in Summers and Greenbrier
County, West Virginia. The property is the largest ownership in the
package and well stocked with quality hardwood sawtimber. Keeney
Knob is an ideal timberland investment opportunity, offering short-term
return on investment and capital appreciation.
TIMBER RESOURCE:
A 2014 timber inventory completed by an independent forestry firm
estimates 15.324 Million board feet of sawtimber volume or 3.9 MBF
(Doyle) per acre. The species composition is dominated by valuable
hardwood species of sugar maple (21%), red oak (21%), basswood
(12%), Chestnut oak (10%) and yellow poplar (7%). An impressive 76%
of the stocking is in 16” dbh or greater with 29% of the total sawtimber
volume greater than 20” dbh.
ATTRIBUTES:
The property is situated amongst West Virginia mountain region, with
Keeney Knob being the highest point in Summers County at just over 3,900
feet above sea level. The tract provides potential for recreational and
