Your user name is your D
number (capital D) and your
password is the year and month
of your birth (YYYYMM).

Click on the eBooks by EBSCOhost link.

Before we begin to search, click on the Sign In link. This will
allow you to save books in your folder. My folder was created
using the EBSCOhost link so in order to have access to the
folder I need to login using that same link. Click here for a
tutorial that will help you to create a folder.

Click on the Advanced Search link.

Type your search term and click Search.

We will narrow the Publication Date between 2006-2011 by
sliding the left side bar to the right changing the date. The
screen will “gray out” and return with the changed Publication
Date range.

The number of results has dropped significantly.
Scroll down the page and click on the Subject
link. Project Management is as a Subject term
(used to describe the contents of the book). We
will now change the search to look for Project
Management and click on Subject. Scroll back up
to the to the search boxes. You could further
narrow it by clicking on another subject.

Click the drop down arrow and select SU Subject
and search again.

This significantly reduces the number of books. You may use
additional search terms if necessary. This is a simple search
to show the eBook database in the AND search area, such as
Project Management AND Construction. For a tutorial on
Advanced Searching in EBSCOhost, click here.
We will now look at the book itself.

Click on the title of the book.

This page shows the title, author(s), publisher and
publication date. The PDF Full Text link on the left
will “open” the book.

Scrolling down the page shows the Most
Relevant Pages From This eBook.

Scrolling down further shows the Table of Contents.
We will now scroll back up to the top of this page
and click on the PDF Full Text link to open the book.

You can use these arrows to move forward or
Backward one page at a time. You can click on
the Chapter link to move from one chapter to another.

You can also click on the Index link to
search the text for specific words or
phrases in the book.

text. The search results are links
that will take you to the page
containing the word or phrase.

however some books prohibit these functions.

There is a citation icon, but the format is not always correct.
You will want to confirm the results in another citation maker
such as Noodle Tools.

Your note is still in the folder, however, it is not
displayed as prominently as the eBook.
