OUR FIFTEENTH ANNUAL FAMILY ENRICHMENT WEEKEND Includes all day Thursday this year! THE LION’S BEAR LAKE CAMP LAPEER, MI AUGUST 20 – 23, 2015 Arrive THURSDAY around 5:30pm for dinner Depart Sunday after breakfast! The Affiliate is offering this weekend to MEMBER families for a minimal fee of $175 per a four-person family. Any additional family members or staff is $30 per person, and a reduction of $30 per person for less than four family members. This will include 8 meals and lodging for the weekend. SATURDAY ONLY cost is $75 for four people and will include lunch & dinner. No adj. in cost for Saturday only with less than four people. Again this year, we are offering a ONE-DAY option for ALL families, non-members too, to join us for Saturday, August 22, 2015. Arrive at 10am and stay the day! The meals will be prepared in the Grand Lodge and will be pre-planned. If you have a person in your party that is on a restricted diet, there are kitchen facilities on site. Box 182186, Shelby Township, MI 48318 BY: JULY 20, 2015 Due to insurance guidelines, the following criteria must be met for families to participate at our camp: • Only parents/guardians of an individual affected by autism and their immediate families may attend (i.e. a child affected by autism, their parents or guardian and their siblings) • Only persons with private health insurance coverage will be allowed to attend. Any accidental injuries, which may require treatment, will be handled by the family’s private insurance. NO EXCEPTIONS • Families may bring along one trained aide to assist them for respite. That person must be registered as the child’s care provider and insured by a contracted agency, or have private medical insurance, and included in the family of four or $30 additional. The cabins will BE SHARED, so we urge TWO families to register together or state who you would like to bunk with. For those families that are unable to do so, you will be paired with a compatible family as space allows. We will limit the amount of families to allow for a comfortable environment. The cabins will not allow total privacy, however there are four small rooms with two sets of bunk beds in each. There is also a private ceramic tiled bathroom at the end of each cabin that has 2 large shower stalls and 3 lavatory stalls along with several counter top sinks. Planned activities include fishing, paddle boats, canoeing, swimming, camp fire, movies, crafts, Talent Show and more. Wall climbing & Zip line is extra $15 – waiver will be mailed.
