INTERNERSHIP-MARKETING
Meritorious Biztech College has selected 30 prospective students for internship
program in the fields of marketing, economics and quantitative and quality
surveys for various products and services with renowned investment
consultants.
DISTINCTIVE PETRO-GATHERING
Petroleum Engineering students from Meritorious Biztech College are to
attened the PETRO-GATHERING; CHINA INTERNATIONAL STUDENT PETROLEUM
FORUM, to be held at the China University of Petroleum (Huadong), Qingdao,
Shandong, China from 17 July to 20 July 2015.
Petro-Gathering: China International Student Petroleum Forum is an academic
activity specifically for students majoring in petroleum. This activity aims to
cultivate and stimulate the students' innovation consciousness, exercise their
ability to apply professional knowledge into practice and promote the
communication among SPE Student Chapters all over the world. The Forum
advocates the principle of "Innovation, Practice, Communication and
Integration.
MEDIA CHALLENGE - MASS COMMUNICATION
The Fourth Media challenged will be taking place in the 3rd week of July 2015.
This time round the number of institutions has been increased from 10 to 15 to
accommodate more institutions to participate.
The media challenge seeks to spot talent in different fields of journalism
including News anchoring, reporting, photography, news writing among others.

ACCA CAREER GUIDANCE
As on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 10:00 AM. at Meritorious Biztech College
campus, Professional Mentors from ACCA were available for presentation and
inquiries. Approximately 70 individuals had attended the colloquium and
gained its fruitful benefits in understanding it.
GRAND GRADUATION CEREMONY
Meritorious Biztech College held it's first grand graduation
ceremony for its pioneer students on April 17, 2015 at the
College campus located at Ham towers, Opp. Makerere
University Main Gate that was graced by Hon. Banyenzaki
Henry, The State Minister in charge of Economic Monitoring from
the office of the President as the guest of honour. Hon.

Meritorious Biz Tech College participated in 8th Higher Education Exhibition
organized by National Council for Higher Education which was held at UMA
show ground Lugogo from 19th March to 21st March 2015.
More than 50 tertiary institutions participated in this event. The exhibition is a
yearly activity which is meant to create awareness to all stakeholders in
education in order to understand and know where students can acquire quality
education.
The 8th National Council For Higher Education Exhibition was opened by a
Minister of Education and Sports and more than 1000 people visited the
Exhibition hall.
STUDY TRIP (INDUSTRIAL TRAINING) - PETROLEUM
In the month of April 2015, six students of
petroleum
studies
had
successfully
participated and qualified in industrial training
held at Petroleum Field Laboratory at Hoima
District. The sessions were duly conducted by
Mr. Antony Ogunkoya, Ms. Frances Leon and
Mr. Santosh Chandra - Officials from Makerere
University SPE International. This field gave the
participants a knowledgeable exposure at the
real platform.
In the month of May 2014, eight students of petroleum studies have successfully
attended and qualified in industrial training held at Albertaine Graben - Hoima
District at the petroleum field. The sessions were duly conducted by Mr. Mathew
Ssemwogerere, Member Society of Petroleum Engineers.
Global Media Enterprise (GME) had organized INTER - INSTITUTIONAL MEDIA
CHALLENGE (IMC) which was held on September 26, 2014 at Serena Hotel. Nine
students from Meritorious Biztech College had participated and won various
awards. The event was organized as a mode for capacity building for
participants.
