The Meeteetse Senior Center will be raffling off a beautiful WEBER Q1400 PORTABLE ELECTRIC GRILL, perfect for those
summer barbeques. RAFFLE TICKETS ARE $5 EACH OR 5 for $20. Retail value of the grill is $249.00. The drawing will be
May 2nd, during the Garage A Rama weekend in Meeteetse. The Senior Center will have raffle tickets for sale and Senior
Citizens will be selling raffle tickets.
Grounds Maintenance Position Available. Full Time, 40 hrs./week. Seasonal, June-August. Must be able to regularly lift 50
lbs. above waist. Must be able to be on your feet for duration of shift. Duties include but are not limited to mowing, trimming,
planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, spraying, edging, pruning, sprinkler repairs, trash/debris cleanup, etc. Duties will be
performed using hand and motorized equipment. 18 + required. $13.82/hr. Please apply at the school – 868-2501

The Meeteetse Seniors will to travel to Worland Senior Center for lunch on Friday April 17th. The bus will leave
from the Meeteetse Senior Center at 9:30am. The cost for the ride is $5.00 for non-members. Please sign up at the
Senior Center.
Open Gym will take place on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:00-9:00pm at the school gym. Open Gym is for
students grades 6-12 as well as adults.
The Meeteetse Recreation District is offering a 6 week Kayak Safety Training Course instructed by Molly Potas.
Classes will take place on Sunday evenings from 6:00-8:00pm beginning June 7th. The cost is $90 for nonmembers and is limited to 4 participants. Please sign up at the office.
Meeteetse Ballet Update: Classes instructed by Brittany Clarke are going on now. Please contact the Recreation
District office for more information and to sign up.
We provide weekly transportation for members of our community; whether it be for groceries, household supplies,
or medical treatment. The bus goes to Cody on Thursdays leaving at 8:30am. Please schedule your trip with the
Senior Center (868-2622) or the Rec (868-2603) by Wednesday if you would like to make the trip.
Yoga: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 7:30-8:30am at the After School Program Building. The cost is $5.00
per session for non-members.

The MeetRecKids After School Program is open to students in grades K-5 and takes place Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:20 –
5:15pm. The cost is just $50.00 per calendar year. This charge also covers the Summer Program.
Meeteetse Recreation District has Annual Membership Passes available! Your pass will allow you to participate in all recreational
activities offered. The cost for membership passes are as follows:
• Senior Membership (Age 65 & up)
$100.00 per year
• Individual Membership
$200.00 per year
• Family/Couples Membership $300.00 per year (Parents and child(ren) thru age 18)
We have fitness room passes available for $25 for 30 uses and swim passes $40 for 30 times!

“Spring Into Yellowstone”
This event includes:
Tour to the Pitchfork Rediscovery Site (Wyoming Game and Fish registration required)
Live Black-Footed Ferret Visit to the Meeteetse Museums, 9:30 – 3 p.m.
Wyoming Game and Fish and Dennie Hammer will lead a tour to the endangered black-footed ferret rediscovery site located on the Pitchfork Ranch near Meeteetse. The tour leaves from Cody and arrives at Meeteetse Museums at 9:45 a.m.
For tour reservations, please contact Tara Hodges at Wyoming Game and Fish in Cody (307-527-7125). Also included is
a viewing of a live endangered black-footed ferret at Meeteetse Museums. The ferret is courtesy of US Fish and Wildlife
and comes from the National Black-Footed Ferret Conservation Center. Admission to the museum is free.

First National Bank Museum Exhibit opening, 9:30 a.m.
Presentation by Peter Huntoon: The Banks of the Bighorn Basin, 1 p.m.
This permanent exhibit opens in the newly-restored First National Bank Building which is listed on the National Register. A presentation by historic bank expert Peter Huntoon coincides with the exhibit opening. Admission is free.

Pieces of the Puzzle: Our Heritage at Risk
Exhibit opening and presentation by archaeologist Dr. Larry Todd and others, 1 p.m.
This exhibit features never-before-exhibited Native American artifacts from this area on loan from the US Forest Service
and includes replicas of anthropological artifacts loaned by Dr. Todd. The presentation discusses this area’s archaeology,
genetic ties to Africa, and the threat that recreational collecting poses to the archaeological record. Admission is free.
The exhibit continues through December 13.

Meeteetse Youth Work Program
Summer is right around the corner and we are sure you are
gearing up for a busy summer season. We would like you
to
consider joining our Meeteetse Youth Work Program for
the 2014-2015 year.
Our goal for the program is to provide youth work experience and provide businesses the extra help they may need
and cannot afford. The program pays for the youth wages and the businesses agree to help provide our youth with a learning
work experience.
The Meeteetse Youth Work Program Board is now requiring a $250.00 Business registration fee. The
fee is due to the Town of Meeteetse on March 1, 2015. The fee will help with the initial program costs and help
leverage private donations and grant dollars. The funding for the program is changing and it is important to show
business buy-in. Businesses are also required to sign a contract with the Town of Meeteetse and sign the
Meeteetse Youth Program Guidelines. Please contact Angie at 868-2278 or [email protected] to receive a
copy of these documents.
If you are interested in the program please complete a job description for the positions you may have
available. The job descriptions can be emailed to [email protected] or dropped off at the Town Hall. Please
provide your job description by April 6, 2015. These job descriptions will be handed out to the youth on April 11,
2014.
The MYWP is a partnership between the state of Wyoming Department of Workforce Services, the Town of Meeteetse, the
Meeteetse Schools, the Wyoming Community Foundation, and many Meeteetse employers. It is in this spirit of
partnership that we ask you to financially support this program at whatever level you are able. This year we are tasked
with raising $10,00 to match a contribution from the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services. Any contribution would
be greatly appreciated, and every dollar goes back into the pockets of the youth employed by the program. For more
