The International Society of Crime Prevention Practitioners (ISCPP)

Crime Prevention Specialist (ICPS) Training culminating with the ICPS Test.

The three day training will give attendees a solid
foundation of crime prevention knowledge, a 500+ page crime prevention curriculum
to use as a resource after the training, and excellent preparation for the ICPS Test. This
course will give a crime prevention practitioner the basic foundations and resources in
crime prevention to take into the field and teach crime prevention to the communities
that the practitioner is involved.

Who should attend?
Anyone interested in learning more about crime prevention. This includes crime
prevention officers, crime prevention specialists, unit supervisors, neighborhood
watch coordinators and members, volunteers,
loss prevention managers, patrol officers, and security specialists.
Instructors:
All Instructors have attained the ICPS designation and are or have been practicing
crime prevention specialist with exceptional presentation skills. There may also be
instructors who have experience in a particular crime prevention topic.
Cost: The cost of the training is $325 (US) per person. Registrants will receive a copy of the ICPS
Crime Prevention Curriculum, Training and Testing Fees, and a one-year membership to the ISCPP.
 SC-SACPC Members SAVE! Become a SC-SACPO member and pay $300. 
Frequently Asked Questions:
• Is there a test at the end of the class and is it easy? Students who attend the training find the test to be
challenging, but most people will pass the test satisfactorily. Those who do not attend the training, find the
test from daunting to impossible. The test is a 200 multiple choice questions test comprising of 150 core
subject questions and 50 elective subject questions based on the five electives that you choose. You must
obtain a 75% (150 correct questions) to pass the course.
• What do I receive at the end of this course? The 500+ page ICPS Curriculum, a one (1) year membership to
the ISCPP, and hopefully the ICPS Designation
• What is the ICPS Designation? In passing this course the ISCPP recognizes that you have demonstrated
proficient and knowledge of basic crime prevention concepts and practices. This is not a certification, which
would require re-certification annually or biannually.

The test consists of 200 multiple-choice questions - 150 questions come from the 15 core chapters
and the other 50 come from the 5 electives that you choose below. We recommend that you choose
topics that you are more familiar and comfortable with.

Time: Training will begin at 8:00 am and continue until 5:00 pm each day. Dress is business casual.
Cost: The fee for the training includes the training, testing, 500+ page curriculum and one-year
membership to the ISCPP. The cost is $325 (US)/$300 SC-SACPO members. Class is limited to the first 30
registrants. Lunch will be on your own each day.
