BACKPACKING RANGE The bockpocking range · Vector,Brecon,N imbus and Trekker all operate on the double joint system. This gives o much smaller packed length and still maintains the ease and speed of erection. TOURING RANGE The Highlonder,Nimrod, lgloo,Troveller and Explorer ore all suited to touring. These designs g ive generous accommodation and fit into compact carry bogs, easily transportable on motor cycles or in the boot of a cor. FAMILY RANGE The larger Family domes · Trooper 2,Trooper 4, Vis a Vis, Super Vis A Vis, Megadome 2, Megodome 4 , and Ultradome hove become increasingly popular. These models, being much larger than the Touring and Backpocking ranges do take o little longer to erect, however, being family tents there will always be more than one person to help. All the models in the Family range can be erected in under two minutes by two people. GAZEBO In line with all our other innovative ideas we hove now extended the KHYAM technology to "Gazebos" The KHYAM Gazebo is o highly versatile lightweight and quick erect general purpose shelter ideal for many outdoor events such as barbecues and garden parties. ACTIVITY RANGE The activity range focuses on two areas- fishing and shooti ng. The Corpmoster 1 and Corpmasler 2 fishing shelters offer comfortable acco~modotion for the overnight fisherman. Inner tents ore large enough la take bedchoirs, with the Carpmasler 2 giving generous space for two bedchoirs side by side. The Shooting Hide is o versatile q uick erect hide suitable not only for stalking and shooti ng but also birdwotching and photography. EQ UIPMENT RANGE To complement our extensive range of tents we hove now added three specialist sleeping bags and Four rucksacks. The sleeping bogs consist of three 'M ummy' style bogs which co n be zipped together. Two of the bogs use synthetic filling w hilst the Polar 4 uses on 80/20 down and feather mix. All bags are very lightweight a nd are easily packed into co mpact carry socks for ease of transit. Depending on your rucksack requirements you can choose from two doy socks or two fully adjustable rucksacks. Both adjustable rucksacks offer integra l ra in / air transit covers as well os full strap and ca pacity adjustment. As the zipped kader gusset is separate from the main awning it con be positioned and pegged down with the minimum of fuss. The main body of the owning is then zipped onto the caravan in seconds using a hook pole to assi st in zipping along the top of the awning. The pole system consists of 4 fibreglass sections hinged around 5 injection moulded joints which will lock in one o f three positions by inserting o tapered locking pin. The structure is supported by o telescopic pole on either side of the awning. The pole system is an integral part of the awning and therefore never needs to be removed from the "Tencate" acrylic canvas. If req uired further support con be provided by internal poles which clip directly to the owning itself. There is no need for fixings on the caravan itself which could damage the outer skin. Storm guys con be fixed directly to the external pole system creating a very sturdy structure. W ithout the need for bulky steel poles and brackets the FUTURA Awning con be packed into one bag. However, separate bogs ore provided for ea se of carrying. 5 Mins l Colours available : Grey/ Forest Green : Grey/Burgundy FEATURES: ~ Full Tencate Acrylic fabric ' e Removable Front Panels e Two side entrances e Front panels unzip and fold down onto veranda poles e e e e e Lig ht alloy curtain bars top and bottom of each w indow e Easily replaceab le shockcorded pegging loops Additional internal support bars Mesh vent panels on all w indows Front central section can be rolled up and secured to give sun canopy and side walls Facility for suspending an owning inner tent. KHYAM reserves the right to alter specifications os considered necessary without prior notice. Over the years we have heard many questions and comments relating to KHYAM tents and we feel it is relevant to list various aspects of this information for your guidance Q, With a synthetic Rysheet will the tent suHer from condensation ? A. All synthetic fabrics suffer a certain degree ol condensation. To help reduce this all KHYNv\ tents have ventilation in both the rnner tents and the flysheels. Vents in the inners ore situated in the roof and on oH doorways. Vents in the llyshoot ore in the top of the ~yshool and are protAC:tP.d by a large lop cop As air flows over the tap o1 the !lysheer I nolura ly draws air up througn the vent -cm nside the 'ent This no•ural How of air con be controlled oy opening Of icily closrng the "'o·n doors of rhe inrer rent Mesh doors con be kep: closed o owing movement ol air but prevenfng insects from ente·rng ·he inrer tent. When ambient conditions ore damp and humid 11 is very difficult 'o prevent condensation, but this should only form on the inside of the flysheet and no' the inner tent 1\ny condensation dripping from the inside of the flysheet should not penetrate the semi·proofed inners. What about the strength and durability of the poles & ioints · can I trust them ? Q, In simple te~ms yP.s you con trus· ·he poles and jorrls The technology has exrsted for several years. The main po es ore stronger than those norma ly supplied wrth dome 1ents os ours ore solid f·breg ass os opposed to hollow fibreglass. They ore oonoed into tne joints whrch ore moulded from nylon with gloss filling whrch odds hardness to the nylon. The rrvets ore brass and the springs ore stain ess stce . A Q, Do poles or ioints break · and if so what can I do ? A . it is rare that the poles or joints brook wheri used according to our instructions. They ore extremely durable ond have been tested to exacting standards. We cannot guaran:ee lhat there will never be a breakage, but we n guarantee tho• we will wpply any replocemerts required dur'ng the rrcnty per ad Shwd you need to rectify o problem then po es are quickly replaced from hub 10 foo·. ij you are travelling to remo·e ports ol the worlo then spo·es ore available to lake vJitn you c l o substdrsed ro·e 10 allow you the comfort of insurance withou great pena ty. Please contact your stoc!US·. Q, What about spares · can I get them ? A, Yf!S, spor~s should normally be available from your stockist. In case of difficulty you may contact us directly. Q, Are KHYAM tents waterproof? A . All KHYAfv\ llysheet fabrics ore coated lo withstand in excess of lOOcm head of water in the hydrosfotic head rest This is a measure by which we can teSI the resis·ance 1o water penetration. This s the measurement when the fabric is new ln use. ove· o period of time this level wi drop. However llysheet fabrics con eostty oe reproorea. Untaped seams on our IE~nls reqJire treatment wtrh seam sealant whrch IS provided Unlike nature fabrics. which recover oher sewing, synthetic fabt'ics do not. his therefore necessary to apply the sealant before you use the ten•.llis con be done by simpry putling the tent up, removing the inner tent, and by using ~~e opplicator, moisten the tip and apply down the inside of the main seams on the flysheet. it is important to pay special attention to the hanging points from wh ich the mner tent is suspended ensuring they ore totally sealed la prevent any wicking. On no account should the zips on the Hysheet or inner tent be sealed. On certain models you wrl notrce tho1 some o1 the main seams have been tape sealed and do not require further treatment AJow at least 48 hours for the sealant to cure. The ten• must NEVER be packed away un~l -ne sealant s completely dry. Q, How we// will the tent perform in the wind ? A KHYAM tenrs have proven on many occasions tha· they perform exceptionally well in wiMy conditions. The major factor is how well the user 'pegs' the tent la the ground. In severe condrtions we recommend the use of 'KHYAM Storm Guys' which hove been specially designed for use with KHYAM tents. Unlike most dome tents we ore able to guy directly onto the pale system. By doing th is far greater lension can be achieved on all main poles thus preventing the framework from moving in the wind. it 's imporfont to note that, when storm guys ore being used, all main poles must be guyed to achieve the maximum strength - o ensure that you oblo,r the best results, we cidvise thor all guys ond SIOIII" guys c •e pegged os for fro"' rhe 1en1 os poss·b e. As dome rents ore nex•b e, guys and storm guys s~oold never be over- tensiooed, os thts Wli l distor• he fro me work ond me fabr'c will become 'loose'.
