It’s Road-E-O Time
The North Carolina Chapter of SWANA is holding its Annual Equipment/Truck Road-E-O on June 12-13,
2015 in Greensboro North Carolina hosted by Republic Services, Waste Industries, City of Greensboro and
City of Winston Salem. Road-E-O information may be accessed on the NC SWANA web page at
www.ncswana.org.
Questions regarding Road-E-O registration should be directed to Rodney Hamby @ 828-312-1672.
Contestants representing public and private waste collection agencies will be competing for top driving,
operating, and mechanical honors. Drivers are required to maneuver competition vehicles through a preset
course, and mechanics are tested in areas of troubleshooting and diagnostics. All categories are judged on
accuracy and time.
2015 NC SWANA Road-E-O winners will receive trophies, cash awards,
and recognition as being the best of the best in North Carolina! First and
second place winners will be eligible to go to the SWANA International Road
-E-O to be held in Phoenix, Arizona on October 3, 2015. The company
sponsor of the first place winner is required to submit the request for reimbursement. Participation in the International Road-E-O is not required, however, those who wish to participate in the International Road-E-O will be responsible for the balance of expenses.
The Awards Ceremony and Banquet will begin at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, June 13th at Road-E-O Headquarters, Embassy Suites Hotel in Greensboro, North Carolina, with trophies, cash awards, door prizes, and a
dinner buffet with a wide variety of food.

The Embassy Suites Hotel is located at 204 Centreport Drive, Greensboro, NC 27409 and will serve as
Event Headquarters for the 2015 NC SWANA Road-E-O.

of North America NC Chapter for the discounted rates of $139.81 per night, which includes all applicable
taxes.
A block of rooms has been reserved for NC SWANA at the special rate until May 28, 2015.
