Purpose/Goal: The purpose of the program is to educate community members and professionals working in the field of HIV/AIDS. This program is a collaboration between the Ohio
AIDS Coalition, AIDS Education and Training Center OSU Local Performance Site, Columbus
Public Health, and the Ohio Department of Health. Target audience includes HIV+ Community Members, HIV/AIDS Advocates, Case Managers, and Medical Case Managers.
ENTRANCE
Program Objectives:
• Participants will have a better understanding of the integration of Mental Health into HIV
medical care
• Participants will utilize knowledge gained regarding the ACA - Marketplace to proactively
approach this year’s open enrollment.
• Participants will be able to speak at an increased level on the following: PrEP, the Cure,
Immune Reconstitution, Elite Controllers, and STI Co-Infection
• Participants will be able to advocate for positive choices for their clients lives
• Participants will be able to produce a more detailed plan for clients regarding their individual needs
Criteria for successful completion of the program: Participants must attend the entire program and complete and submit an evaluation form to be awarded a certificate of attendance, or social work CEUs.
