Fred Brown Appointed to PatientMatters as Advisory Board Member
March 23, 2015 Orlando, Fla. - Fred Brown, has agreed to serve as Chairman of the Advisory Board to
PatientMatters, LLC. Brown is Past Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Joint Commission, Past
Chairman of The National Kidney Foundation and Past Chairman of the American Hospital Association. He
was inducted into the Modern Health Care Hall of Fame in March, 2014 Brown is known for his expertise in
health care integration, governance, operations, public policy, diversity, spiritual care, community health and
social responsibility. Brown is a Life Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He will join
Lyman Sornberger, Bob Broadway, D.T. Nguyen and Richard H. Booth in advising PatientMatters.
Brown was a participant in the C3 CFO Summit sponsored by PatientMatters in January and was impressed
by the level of discussion among the attendees. “I am a champion for community hospitals and the summit
pinpointed the struggles CFOs are having right now,” said Brown. “It became clear to me that PatientMatters
