St. Bernard’s in Ione will once again host their annual on Saturday, July 4, 2015.
Doors open at 9am and close at 4pm. Donations welcome from June 29 & 30,
July 1 & 2 from 10am until noon. On Friday, July 3, from 10am till 3pm.

BISHOP THOMAS A. DALY –
On May 20 the Diocese of Spokane will celebrate the installation of the
Most Reverend Thomas Anthony Daly as our seventh Bishop. A
general public reception will be at the Cathedral’s O’Connor Hall from
3:30-5:30 p.m. No tickets are required. Details about how the faithful
can follow these special events by radio and television will be forth
coming.
PRAYER FOR BISHOP DALY
Ever-loving and faithful God, you never cease to gather a people to
yourself. With care and compassion you always provide shepherds for your
flock. With grateful hearts we bless and praise you for raising up your
servant, Bishop Thomas Daly, to lead us and guide us in the ways of your
Kingdom. Through his ministry of preaching, teaching and sanctifying,
may we, your pilgrim people, open our lives more and more generously to
the Good News that he, as successor of the Apostles, will announce to
us. Bless our new bishop in every good way with an abundance of grace,
courage and wisdom. Strengthen him in faith and provide for him in times
of need. We make our prayer, as always, through your Son, our Lord, Jesus
Christ, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one
God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Will begin on Saturday, July 4 , 2015 and continue thru August 29,
2015 at 7:00pm.
K of C YOUTH SCHOLARSHIP FUND
The Knights of Columbus are awarding a
$500.00 Scholarship to a qualified Senior Catholic
student. The applicant shall have been accepted to a
University, College or trade school. The applicant
shall be a practicing Catholic and registered in a
parish in Pend Oreille County. To obtain an
application, for submission by June 1, 2015, please

POCO PARISH ES COLLECTION FOR
EARTHQUAKE RELIEF FUND
$ 943.00 was collected by our parish churches to
be sent to Catholic Relief Services. Many thanks
for your heartfelt contributions.
Pope Francis's Intentions for the month of May:
Universal Intention: Care for the Suffering;. That,
rejecting the culture of indifference, we may care for
our neighbors who suffer, especially the sick and
poor.
Evangelization: Christians in Secularized Cultures.
That Mary’s intercession may help Christians in
secularized cultures be open to proclaiming Jesus.
Seventh Sunday of Easter
Jesus is the perfect steward---watching carefully over all who have been entrusted to Him by the Father
and then sending them all out into the world in service. May I similarly protect and wisely use the gifts
entrusted to me!
