FUNDRAISING TIPS & TRICKS
FUNDRAISING TIPS & TRICKS
5 Easy Ways to Raise $150 for a Lifesaving
Mammogram:
Top Fundraising Tips:
•
Use Facebook and other social media networks.
•
Ask 25 friends for $5 each - that’s just the price of your favorite latté!
•
Share YOUR story. How have you been touched by breast cancer?
•
Ask 15 friends for $10 each - skip a meal out and donate instead!
•
•
Fundraise online. Send emails to friends and family around the globe.
•
Go door-to-door in your neighborhood asking neighbors for their
support.
Put fundraising dollars into perspective: $150 can fund one lifesaving
mammogram; 10 lattés equals breast health
education materials; the cost of movie
admission contributes partial funding for a
patient navigator
•
Send a personalized letter (yes, snail mail) to friends and family
asking for a donation.
•
Ask your employer to allow our
colleaguesto dress down for a charge. Wear
jeans for $10 and donate to the Race!
•
Fundraise online. Send emails to friends and
family around the globe.
Bake for the Cure: hold a bake sale at the office or around your neighborhood.
•
Brainstorm with your team! Be creative and
think of things that can involve everyone.
Car Wash: host a car wash and collect donations (great idea for youth
teams).
•
Advertise your participation as much as
possible and just ask!

talents and raffle them off!
Are you a quilter? Raffle a
quilt! A card maker? Raffle
off your beautiful creations!

restaurant: ask a
local restaurant to contribute
a portion of its proceeds to
your Race team.
Recycle for the Race: save
bottles and cans from around
the office and at home and turn them in for fundraising dollars.
