HOLIDAYS HOMEWORK
Hey kids! Have a happy ,happening break
Here are a few interesting activities to keep you going through summer break.
Little bit of research and lots of imagination will make your holidays fruitful
and add colours to your creations.
Get Set, go…..
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
1. All the work has to be done on A4 size interleaf coloured sheets.
2. Sheets have to be punched, tied in the form of a booklet separately for
each subject and put them in one folder.
3. All the sheets should be properly labeled with name, class, roll no. and
subject.
4. Submit your holiday homework to your class teacher on 3rd July 2015
positively.
5. Revise all FA1 syllabus.
ENGLISH
1. Write a short story on the topic “We should not be greedy” on an A4 size pastel sheet. Also paste a
picture describing the story.
2. Compose a poem on any one topic using the given rhyming words.
a) Summers – friend-end ; fun-sun ; night-bright ; summer-here.
b) Butterfly – pretty-witty ; shines-kinds ; clever-ever.

MATHS
1) Learn tables from 2 to 15 and do written practice of dodging tables on every Monday.
2) On an A-4 size sheet make any 2 objects of each shape (example: Rectangle – Almirah, Table) using
matchsticks, ice-cream sticks,thread, etc. and write their names.
3) Go to a nearby grossary shop and purchase any 5 things of your choice (example: toffee, chocolate,
etc.) :
 Paste their wrappers on an A-4 size sheet.
 In front of each wrapper show their price by tracing the coins and find out the sum of
money spent by you.
Example:
4) Do chapter-1 ‘Revision’ of the book in practice notebook.
SCIENCE
1.Collect the pictures of things in different states of matter. Paste these pictures on three different A4
size sheet and write their names under the following three groups. (a)Solid (b)Liquid (c)Gases.
2.Paste the pictures of different types of weather on A4 size sheet and write one sentence on each
describing what you like and dislike about it.
Social Studies
1. On a political map of India, shade, color and label the capital of India, 2 seas and mountain region.
2.Paste picture of any 2 famous places of Delhi. Write 5 lines about each under the pictures you paste on
A4 sheet. Use information collected from books and internet to add to the sheet.
