Gala Concert
2012 Keshet Eilon International Violin and String Mastercourse
With the sponsorship of Bank Hapoalim
This evening, we take pleasure in presenting the fruits
of the work of the student string instrumentalists and
the faculty, ten days into the present Mastercourse.
This summer, 56 talented young violinists, violists,
cellists and a double bassist are participating in the
Keshet Eilon Mastercourse, working together in chamber
ensembles. These musicians come to Eilon from 25
countries, including 14 from Israel, eager to work
intensively on polishing their performance skills under
the leadership of a faculty of distinguished teachers
and artists from Israel and abroad, together with
experienced pianists.
Besides private lessons, masterclasses, intensive
practice and rehearsals, the Mastercourse participants
are offered extra-curricular enrichment that includes
a tour of the Galilee, social activities, and archery –
a singularly valuable sport for string musicians,
instructed by a staff of experienced Israeli archers.
At the end of next week the Mastercourse will focus on
Fritz Kreisler, marking 50 years since his death with
performances of his works and an exhibition illuminating
his career in the context of his era. We will also honor the
noted violinist Ivry Gitlis, celebrating his 90th birthday,
who will play an active role during the next ten days.
The Keshet Eilon Music Center
The Keshet Eilon Mastercourse, marking its 22nd year
this summer, has acquired a status that has made it one
of the major violin and other string masterclass venues
internationally, attracting outstanding young performers
from Israel and world wide. The Mastercourse is a
unique blend of distinguished teachers from all parts of
the world, outstanding students of the highest musical
caliber, and appreciative music-loving audiences.
The Center offers the following programs and facilities:
International Violin and String Mastercourse,
a three-week program for participants from Israel and
the rest of the world, offering personal instruction by
distinguished teachers, masterclasses, and innovative
music workshops. A highlight is the opportunity to
perform as soloists in nightly concerts in the Keshet
Eilon Concert Hall and in the gala concert in Tel Aviv.
Seminars for Israeli Violin Students and their
Teachers, aimed at encouraging violin playing in Israel,
are held three times a year, led by senior Keshet Eilon
faculty.
Keshet Eilon activity in the Arab sector focuses on the
Al-Kendi Music Center in the village of Jatt with the goal
of giving children there opportunities equal to those
of the rest of Israel’s children and integrating them in
national and international music activity.
Annual world-class concert series, “The Sounds of
Keshet Eilon”, mounted in the Keshet Eilon Concert
Hall, features string recitals, chamber music ensembles,
vocal music, folk music and more. The series caters
to the music-loving public in the Western Galilee and
beyond.
The Keshet Eilon Music Library, housed in a converted
grain silo, contains a distinctive collection of music
notes, books, CDs and videos primarily for violin,
chamber music and piano. It serves students and faculty
at Keshet Eilon and is open to the public at large.
The Violin- and Bow-making Atelier, located in
the Library building, serves students and faculty by
providing instruction, maintenance and repair for the
instruments they bring with them.
Graduates of Keshet Eilon perform at benefit concerts
throughout the world, thereby gaining international
exposure while helping support the Music Center and
enhancing its music stature. They also serve as goodwill
ambassadors for Israel, conveying a message of dialogue
and peace through music.
Summarizing 22 years of Keshet Eilon activity, we are
indebted first and foremost to our supporters and friends,
many of whom are with us here this evening, who have
enabled us to achieve the success we have gained thus
far. We are convinced that together we will continue to
sustain our focus on excellence, along with the spirit
of volunteerism and remarkable support shown by the
large and growing Keshet Eilon family.

being made for the start of construction of Stage 1 of
the campus. You are invited to join this shared effort by
donating one or more “bricks” (at $1,000 each) toward the
completion of the construction until its conclusion. Upon
the inauguration of the buildings, your name will appear
prominently, signifying your partnership in realizing
the vision of establishing a full-time international music
center at Keshet Eilon.

‫קורס הקיץ הבינלאומי לכינור וכלי קשת ‪2012‬‬
‫בחסות בנק הפועלים‬
‫יש לנו העונג להציג לפניכם הערב את פירות העבודה של נגני כלי‬
‫הקשת והאמנים הבכירים שנעשתה בעשרת הימים הראשונים של‬
‫קורס הקיץ ‪.2012‬‬
‫השנה התקבצו בכתות אמן קשת אילון ‪ 39‬כנרים צעירים ומוכשרים‪,‬‬
‫אשר נבחרו בקפידה מקרב מאות אחרים שהגישו את מועמדותם‪.‬‬
‫הם הגיעו מ‪ 25 -‬מדינות‪ ,‬כולל ‪ 14‬ישראלים‪ .‬אליהם הצטרפו ‪17‬‬
‫ויולנים‪ ,‬צ'לנים ו‪ 2-‬נגני קונטרבס‪ ,‬אשר עוסקים בשיעורים ובנגינה‬
‫בהרכבים קאמריים‪ .‬הם הגיעו לישראל‪ ,‬לאילון אשר בגבול הצפוני‪,‬‬
‫כשהם מוכנים ומצפים לעבודה אינטנסיבית של ליטוש נגינתם‬
‫בהנחיית ‪ 15‬מורים בכירים ואמנים נודעים מהארץ ומחו"ל‪ ,‬יחד‬
‫עם ‪ 9‬פסנתרנים בעלי ניסיון המסייעים להם ולמוריהם‪.‬‬
‫‬
‫בצד קבלת שיעורים אישיים וכיתות אמן‪ ,‬אימון ותרגול‪ ,‬משתתפים ‪56‬‬
‫המוסיקאים הצעירים בפעילויות העשרה חוץ‪-‬מוסיקליות כטיול להכרת‬
‫הגליל‪ ,‬מפגשים חברתיים ופעילות ספורט ייחודית של ירי בחץ וקשת‬
‫אולימפית‪ ,‬אותה מנחה קבוצת קשתים ישראלים ממועדוני ראשון לציון‬
‫וגבעתיים שגם מסייעת בתפעול הקורס‪.‬‬
‫בקונצרט הפתיחה באילון הופיעו שלושה בוגרים של קשת אילון‪,‬‬
‫הכובשים היום את הבמות החשובות בעולם המוסיקה‪ .‬הם הוזמנו‬
‫במיוחד לאירוע זה‪ ,‬כשהם מייצגים מגוון של כלי קשת‪ .‬‬
‫מחר עם שחר‪ ,‬לאחר שמשתתפי הקורס יעשו דרכם בחזרה לגליל‪,‬‬
‫יקיצו כולם להמשך העבודה המבורכת של שיעורים‪ ,‬כיתות אמן‪,‬‬
‫חזרות וקונצרטים‪ .‬בסוף השבוע הבא תוכנית הקורס תתמקד‬
‫בהיכרות עם דמותו של הכנר הנערץ פריץ קרייזלר‪ ,‬לציון ‪50‬‬
‫שנה לפטירתו‪ ,‬דרך נגינת יצירותיו ותערוכה מיוחדת המציגה את‬
‫פועלו על רקע התקופה בה חי‪ .‬כמו כן נייחד מקום מכובד לכנר‬
‫עברי גיטליס במלאת לו ‪ 90‬שנה של עשייה ברוכה‪ ,‬המצטרף אל‬
‫סגל הקורס כדי לקחת חלק פעיל בעשרת הימים הבאים‪.‬‬

‫והפך לבית אולפנה בינלאומי לכיתות אמן לכינור וכלי קשת אחרים‪,‬‬
‫ומושך אליו נגנים צעירים מחוננים מהארץ ומרחבי תבל‪ .‬בקשת אילון‬
‫ניתן למצוא שילוב בין מורים מהטובים בעולם המוסיקה‪ ,‬מוסיקאים‬
‫צעירים ברמת נגינה גבוהה ביותר וקהל שוחרי מוסיקה חם ואוהד‪.‬‬
‫במרכז למוסיקה קשת אילון מתקיימות הפעילויות הבאות‪:‬‬
‫קורס קיץ בינלאומי בן שלושה שבועות לכנרים ונגני כלי קשת‬
‫מישראל ומרחבי העולם‪ ,‬בו מקבלים הנגנים שיעורים אישיים‬
‫מאמנים ומורים בכירים לכינור‪ ,‬כיתות אמן‪ ,‬סדנאות שונות והתנסות‬
‫בספורט החץ וקשת‪ .‬גולת הכותרת היא ההזדמנות הניתנת לאמנים‬
‫הצעירים להתנסות מדי ערב בהופעה על במת אולם קשת אילון‬
‫ובתל אביב בקונצרט גאלה‪.‬‬
‫סמינרים להשתלמות כנרים ישראלים צעירים ומוריהם‪ ,‬שמטרתם‬
‫העיקרית עידוד הכנרות בישראל‪ ,‬הפועלים שלוש פעמים בשנה‬
‫בהנחיית סגל ההוראה הבכיר של קשת אילון‪.‬‬
‫פעילות במגזר הערבי‪ ,‬המתמקדת במרכז למוסיקה אלקנדי בכפר‬
‫ג'ת‪ ,‬מתוך רצון לתת לילדים הזדמנות שווה לשאר ילדי ישראל‬
‫ולשלבם בפעילות הארצית והבינלאומית‪ .‬הפעילות מתבטאת בליווי‬
‫מקצועי של המרכז ועזרה בהשאלת כינורות לתלמידים‪.‬‬
‫סדרת קונצרטים – "קשת של צלילים" – המתקיימת באולם קשת‬
‫אילון לאורך השנה‪ ,‬כוללת קונצרטים של מוסיקה איכותית ופתוחה‬
‫לציבור שוחרי המוסיקה באזור ומחוצה לו‪.‬‬
‫ספריית התווים של קשת אילון‪ ,‬השוכנת באסם תבואה ששופץ‪,‬‬
‫מכילה אוסף ייחודי של תווים‪ ,‬ספרים‪ ,‬קלטות‪ ,‬תקליטורי שמע‬
‫ו‪ DVD-‬בעיקר בתחום הכינור‪ ,‬הפסנתר והמוסיקה הקאמרית‪,‬‬
‫המשמש את משתתפי קשת אילון השונים ופתוחה לציבור הרחב‬
‫בארץ ובחו"ל‪.‬‬
‫הסדנה לבניית כינורות וקשתות השוכנת אף היא באסם התווים‪,‬‬
‫משרתת את הכנרים הצעירים ומוריהם בהגיעם לפעילויות במהלך‬
‫השנה בהדרכה‪ ,‬תחזוקה ותיקונים של כלי הנגינה שברשותם‪.‬‬
‫בוגרי הקורסים מופיעים בהתנדבות ברחבי העולם בקונצרטים‬
‫מיוחדים להתרמה לטובת קשת אילון והם זוכים בדרך זו לחשיפה‬
‫בינלאומית ותורמים לחיזוק מעמדו של המרכז למוסיקה קשת אילון‬
