Although this look has a somewhat youthful vibe, because of the blending of traditional elements with the bright modern palette, its appeal is ubiquitous and transcends generations. Luxe Avenue is the most current exemplification of high-end urban elegance and formality, tempered with a comfortable casualness that’s in harmony with today’s lifestyles. The hot, full-chroma colors are primarily citrus and berry inspired, ranging from vivid red-violets, reds and pinks to brilliant red-oranges, oranges, salmons and corals – with the orange hues being slightly predominant. Accent colors include distinctive vibrant apple green, “lemon grass,” rich violets and white. Gold is the most prominent metallic. Peony 550 BOTANICALS Salmon 552 Mango 532 Violet 715 Spring Green 753 Primary florals are full, lush, luxurious, exuberant and voluptuous in both form, size and color, and include: • Artisan roses / Garden roses • Dahlias • Cushion Gerberas (Gerrondo, Pomponi) • Miniature Gerberas • Hydrangeas • Miniature callas • Phalaenopsis orchids • Leucospermum (pincushions) • Dianthus, ‘Green Trick’/‘Green Ball’ • Hypericum • Bupleurum • Boxwood ELEMENTS • Modern forms – geometric, natural and organic • Classic motifs • Textures and patterns, both printed and woven, including checks, houndstooth and snakeskin • Luxurious fabrics with distinctive sheens, such as silk and patent leather • Gold textured metallics, from aged, patinated finishes to brilliant, brassy hues • Matte and glossy finishes • Lacquered furniture, especially white • White and iconic Asian accents and accessories BOTANICALS Botanicals are from the garden and countryside and include not only flowers—especially natural blue blossoms, of course—but also foliages, ornamental grasses and vegetables, branches, and vines. • Irises • Hybrid Delphiniums, larkspurs • Oriental and O.T. hybrid lilies • Tulips • Sunflowers • Antique Hydrangeas • Hybrid tea, spray and garden roses • Lisianthuses • Succulents and Tillandsias • Ornamental grasses and produce (kale, artichokes, peppers, etc.) • Vines and branches B Park MANOR Park Manor envelops tints, tones and shades of blue, including greenish blues and blue-violets, often in combination, but the richer, deeper, darker hues, from royal and cobalt to navy and midnight, are predominant. Accompanying colors encompass warm hues, from yellow-greens to yellow-oranges, as well as neutrals including sandy beiges and whites, from creamy to bright. Metallic hues reflect aged iron, bronze and gold. Beach 559 Lake 556 Sprout 554 Flat White 726 Antique Gold 746 lue—the most favored of color families—is at an apex of popularity for interior décor and is the foundation of this trend. This current blue-based style, which also welcomes other Concept Copy Direction hues, has shed its/nautical andCopy seaside influences. Instead Park Manor embraces classic centuries-old patterns, shapes and designs from a miscellany of world cultures, particularly Moroccan and Asian, blended with “raw” organic materials and handcrafted elements. The aesthetic is more provincial than metropolitan, but it’s not without sophistication. ELEMENTS Light Ochre 553 • A blend of classic prints and patterns from world cultures, ranging from formal damask to “tribal” ikat • Muslin and other simple plain-weave fabrics • Natural woven materials • Raw, reclaimed, repurposed woods • Cork • Influences of stained glass • Patinated/oxidized iron and bronze, antique gold • Matte finishes Pearl LANE D rawing a subdued retro/vintage influence from soft pastel hues; prints, patterns and textures; and decorative accessories characteristic of the 1950s, this trend maintains the midcentury nostalgia but updates its complexion and appeal for the modern era. With a “multiple-personality” versatility, Pearl Lane can span styles from homespun and casual to fun and funky to formal and elegant, depending on flower, container, accessory and design-style choices. In some incarnations, it can evoke notions of spring and weddings. The colors in this trend’s palette are muted, washed out and almost neutral, and include blush pink, aqua, sky blue, mint green, frost white and shell gray. Pale lavenders, buttery yellows and yellowgreens can play accent roles in this scheme, and the metallics are low-luster or aged silvers, platinum and pewter. Mist 555 Chartreuse 534 BOTANICALS Perfect Pink 780 Prairie Grass 752 Blue Sky 751 Aspen Yellow 791 Think traditional “garden” flowers – from romantic English cottage gardens to formal manicured gardens – when selecting blooms and foliages. Include a pleasing combination of line (spike), mass and form flowers in these compositions. • Hybrid tea, spray and garden roses • Hybrid lilies • Parrot tulips • Hydrangeas • Lisianthuses • Miniature callas • Stocks • Larkspurs • Queen Anne’s lace • Dusty miller • Seeded Eucalyptus ELEMENTS • Textured stone, quartz stone • Hammered metals, especially pewter and platinum • Ceramics inspired by midcentury pottery designs • Frosted glass and other translucent materials • Pearls and crystals • Matte, iridescent and pearlescent finishes; no high shine, even in metals • Linen and lace • Retro 1950s textures, patterns and prints BOTANICALS Mass and form flowers, in a full spectrum of bold, bright hues, are the basis of this trend. The overall look is electric, alive and full of spirit. Bluegrass 562 Ink 561 ELEMENTS Holiday Red 714 Ice Blue 704 R eflective of the vibrancy of tropical Latin American cultures, this dynamic trend also has bohemian and 1960s-’70s retro molecules in its DNA.
