Genealogy has become a passionate pastime
with many seeking answers for their family
tree. “Forgotten” is a documentary about the
yearning to know one’s history. What began
with a tragic fire at 295 George Street, at the
Fegan Receiving Home in Toronto, turned
into inspiration for Eleanor McGrath to create
“Forgotten”. She shares the story of over
100,000 children who came to Canada as
indentured farm labor and domestics in this
documentary. This is not only the story of the children themselves, but their descendants. This
two day tour promises to be not only fascinating, but enlightening and educational.
Day 1 Cornwall - Toronto Our first brief stop of the day will be at the former Quarrier
Receiving Home in Brockville. A stop at Queens Park for a visit and to meet coordinator of
British Home Display, Sandra Joyce, followed by a visit to the site of former Fegan Receiving
Home for the distribution of boys. Here we will meet Eleanor McGrath to hear first-hand
about her inspirational journey. The extreme highlight
of our day will be at the Hamilton Art Gallery later
today for viewing of the documentary, “Forgotten.” We
will be staying downtown Toronto tonight where you
will have access to restaurants across the street from
our hotel such as The Tilted Kilt, The Keg and The Old
Spaghetti Factory.
Day 2 Toronto - Cornwall This morning
we will enjoy a scrumptious brunch, and a
“chat” with author Rosemary Brandon. On our visit to Black Creek Pioneer Village,
author of “Breaking the Silence” Lori Oschefski will unveil her exhibit by the same
name. In her book she states, that “about one in ten Canadians are descended
from a British Home Child, but most of us don’t know it. Are you?”
When we leave Toronto mid-afternoon today, we will be sharing stories and
perhaps even enjoying autographed books that we have purchased from some
the authors we have met and chatted with. We will stop for an independent dinner
break in Kingston area and expect to arrive Cornwall approximately 8:30 PM tonight.

Kinky Boots is a 6 time Tony award winning
Broadway musical with music and lyrics by
Tony and Grammy-winner Cyndi Lauper, a
book by winner Harvey Fierstein, and based
on the 2005 film Kinky Boots. Inspired by
true events, the musical tells the story of Charlie Price, who inherits
a shoe factory from his father. To save the business, Charlie forms
an unlikely partnership with cabaret performer and drag queen,
Lola. With Lola’s help, Charlie develops a plan to produce a line of
high-heeled boots. In the process, he and Lola discover that they
are not so different after all…
Herongate Barn Theatre presents “Murder at The Howard
Johnson’s” a delightful suspense comedy with a dinner preceding.
You will be happy to note that our overnight hotel is not a Howard

& BRANSON
It’s old, it’s new, it’s modern, and it’s
country. Whatever your taste in music,
it’s all here and Nashville is a name that
needs no introduction what so ever. Visit
The Grand Ole Opry, a dream of every
country fan. Cruise the Cumberland
River aboard the General Jackson

Ryman Auditorium. Visit the museum
dedicated to Country Icon, Johnny
Cash and The Country Music Hall of Fame. Graceland Mansion Tour,
home of Elvis Presley will be a highlight in Memphis, a town where Elvis’
music, his life and his talent will never be forgotten. Spend time on the
famous Beale Street in Nashville for some optional activities like visiting
Gibson, where making guitars for over a century has helped to make the
world of music what it is today, or perhaps the Rock ‘n Roll Museum
or BB King’s Blues
Club for down home
southern cooking. We
will visit Loretta Lynn’s
ranch and museum en
route to Memphis. She
was just inducted into
Music City Walk of Fame
in Nashville in June of this year.
And then there’s Branson, with at least 45
theatres showcasing new and old talent from country to classics, gospel to contemporary,
the variety is endless. You will have the opportunity of seeing and hearing new talent,
along with the old songs that you have come to love down through the years. We will start
it off with a scrumptious dinner at the Dixie Stampede Dinner Show, thrill to the talent of
The Dutton’s, The Million Dollar Quartet and The Presleys. If you love music and great

The Mikmaq’s named the archipelango of Îles de la Madeleine “Menagoisenog” meaning “islands
brushed by the waves”. We just say that these are “jewels of the gulf” and for good reason. “Folks

sights of these lands drawn from the sea.

AMISH OF PENNSYLVANIA
of Lancaster County
featuring SAMSON
at Sight & Sound
The different seasons in Penn Dutch Country are so
interesting. By June, the crops are in, gardens are
up and trees and shrubs are flowering abundantly.
Whenever you choose to visit, you will find it is like
visiting another country. It is a place where your car
slows to a trot behind a horse-drawn Amish buggy
and where life moves in harmony with the seasons.
It is a land of one-room school houses, hand sewn
quilts at ten stitches to the inch, and farm machinery is pulled by six-mule teams. Modern life
rushes by so fast. Come with us to Penn Dutch Country and change the pace of your life in ways
you’ll never forget.
The brand new show at Sight & Sound Theatre is based on the Old Testament Patriarch,
SAMSON. We will also enjoy the Musical, THE CONFESSION as well as an evening with Elva Hurst,
“Artist In an Hour” and “Chalk Talk”. Look forward to a visit to Lancaster’s largest decorating
and gift retailer. This marketplace provides 90,000 square feet of shopping under one roof
for everything from Amish wrought iron and furniture, floral design workshops, card making
classes and demo to a bargain barn and more. The onsite marketplace café is an important
place of refreshment for those seeking serious retail therapy in this marketplace.

romance and superb dining. It carries the
mystique of the nineteenth century with all
the modern luxuries of this the twenty-second
century.
Day 1 Cornwall - Québec City Our tour takes
the route of the south shore of the mighty St.
Lawrence bringing us into the heart of the old
city. We will have lunch just prior to Québec City. This afternoon we take you on a guided tour

next two nights. This is a quaint boutique style hotel in the heart of the old city and just outside
of the old city wall. Dinner is included this evening.
Day 2 Québec City Today is yours to explore and enjoy Quebec City on your own. Maybe a

and scrumptious eats, is a perfect day in itself. But do consider an optional afternoon drive on
Isle d’Orleans in your free time.

ICELAND….There is no place like it! It is the land
of the Northern Lights and the Midnight Sun, a
magical place that could have been plucked from

Day 1 Cornwall - Rimouski We will travel the shoreline of the St. Lawrence River stopping
in the Quebec City area for lunch. This afternoon it’s a pretty drive following the south side
of the river with the Laurentian Mountains banking the sky to the north. We’ll stop in the
area that is rich in the art of woodcarving, Saint-Jean-Port-Joli then overnight in Rimouski
overlooking the boardwalk and the river.
Day 2 Rimouski - Percé Our day will start with a visit to the Lighthouse Museum where we
learn the story and history of “The Empress of Ireland” It was one of Canada’s worst marine
disasters, but one that is seldom talked about. Our route this afternoon will be travelling
North around the Gaspé Peninsula hugging the shoreline along the mighty St. Lawrence.
This drive is simply awe-inspiring. Our destination is Percé for a two-night stay at Hotel Le
Mirage which overlooks the bay and Bonaventure Island. The view from the dining room and
places in our resort is exceptional. (B, D)
Day 3 Percé This morning weather permitting, we have a boat cruise which will sail us
around the famous Percé Rock and Bonaventure Island, home of a natural bird
sanctuary. On past tours, we have seen basque shark, eagles, several seals, and of course
thousands of birds during our cruise. It is an exciting experience! You’ll have free time
this afternoon to enjoy and explore the Village of Percé. (B, D)
Day 4 Percé - Riviere du Loup We depart Percé this morning, following the South
East shore of the Bay of Chaleur into the top part of New Brunswick where we will stop
for lunch. This afternoon we will cross the Matapedia Valley which is by far one of the
prettiest spots in the Gaspé Peninsula making our way to our overnight stop in Riviere
du Loup late this afternoon. (B, D)
Day 5 Riviere du Loup - Quebec City Today we begin with a whale watching cruise
in the Gulf of the St Lawrence before heading to Quebec City for a delightful stay at The
Chateau Laurier, just outside the core of the old walled city. (B)
Day 6 Quebec City - Cornwall This morning we will have a City Tour of Quebec City. After
lunch we will be homeward bound. (B) 12

days will be highlights of your summer this year. (B)

ST. JACOBS &
Mennonite Country
In a thriving community just west of Guelph and north
of Waterloo, a large group of Mennonite people live and
work in harmony with the land and their neighbours.
Their ways are different, the pace is different, and their
lifestyle is dictated by their firmly rooted faith. After
visiting this community, some say “interesting”, some
say “refreshing” or “fascinating”. Come with us and form
your own opinions.
Day 1 Our travels today take us west to Toronto, our lunch stop and then to our home for two
nights right in the heart of Mennonite Country. After check-in, we’ll freshen up ready for dining
at Anna Mae’s Restaurant. For those still brimming with energy, you’ll have opportunity to
spend some time at the St. Jacob Factory Outlets within walking distance of our hotel.
Day 2 This morning we’ll take you on a two hour locally guided countryside tour. The Mennonite
Farms are easily spotted because of their size and the fact that they’re always mixed farming
operations. There are other distinctive defining qualities as well. A visit to this area would not be
complete without a visit to Picard Peanuts and time in the village of St. Jacobs to explore the
many interesting shops. This evening you’ll have a great time at the St. Jacobs Country Theatre
featuring “Men’s Foursome”, a comedy that is sure to have you in stitches. Enjoy dinner at The
Stone Crock in St Jacob’s before the show.
Day 3 This morning will find us at the St Jacob’s & Waterloo Farmers Market and Auction.
Plan to have lunch on your own before we leave here today. It has been another interesting day
and we depart early this afternoon expecting to be back in Cornwall before dark this evening.

This is Eastern Canada’s greatest destination. Nowhere
else in all of our great Nation will you find as much
warmth among its people as you will on this tour. Stand
on Signal Hill and view one of the greatest city harbours in all of North America. Sail across the
strait of Belle-Isle and step back a few hundred years to the era of the great whale hunts. Drive
along the South arm of Gros Morne National Park. Visit the site of the landing of the Vikings. We
have named but a few of the places you will have the opportunity of visiting.
Day 1-3 These three days of travel will take you first to upper New Brunswick for your first
night. Following the St John River Valley and a visit and tour of the city of Elms, we continue on
to Moncton for the second overnight. Our evening in Moncton, we will be guests of Maritime

is about to begin.
Day 5 Port Aux Basques - Plum Point Our journey takes us further north this morning
allowing us the opportunity of travelling through part of Gros Morne Park .We will visit such
places as Trout River, Woody Point, Birchy Head and Shoal Brook. Lunch today will be in
Woody Point.
Day 6 Plum Point - L`Anse-Au-Clair It is our second ferry ride this morning, crossing the
Strait of Belle Isle and Iceberg Alley to the shores of the other part of Newfoundland, that of
Labrador. We are visiting Red Bay, a small community that speaks of the Basque Whaling
industry that thrived here all along the coast over 400 years ago. A visit to the museum
will connect you with ancient traditions that keep folklore and ancient crafts alive today.
The museum will also reveal the gripping story of the oil-laden San Juan that sank in
33 feet of water in Red Bay. How about some tangy baked apples fashioned into a pie?
Locals call them cloud berries - a lumpy-looking golden fruit that grows in profusion in
south Labrador. Lessons in sea lore, sea-washed scenery, down home hospitality and
good food sums up this day beautifully.

and visit L`Anse-aux-Meadows, National Historical site of the first European settlement in

MAJESTIC ROCKIES
The Canadian Rockies—a land of majestic mountain
scenery, fascinating wildlife, sparkling glaciers, crystalclear lakes, and interesting towns. If you want to see
breathtaking scenery and jagged mountain peaks,
this Canadian Rockies tour is for you. Spend time in
Vancouver, Victoria, Whistler, Sun Peaks, Jasper National
Park, and Banff National Park. A tour highlight is the Ice
Explorer ride on the 1,200-foot-thick Columbia Icefield.
It is one of the few places where you go right up to an
icefield. You’ll also enjoy unsurpassed scenery on the
drive between Jasper National Park and Banff National
Park. As you parallel the Great Divide, keep an eye out for alpine meadows, waterfalls, massive
glaciers, and wildlife, including big horn sheep and elk. Other tour highlights include a stop at
gorgeous Lake Louise and a cruise on Maligne Lake, one of the most picturesque spots in the
Canadian Rockies with the beautiful lake and towering peaks.
On this Canadian Rockies tour, Globus has included some out-of-the-ordinary adventures to make
your vacation unique. After your ferry ride from Vancouver to Victoria, visit Butchart Gardens,
where you’ll admire the floral displays on 55 acres and enjoy dinner at the original Butchart family
residence. Globus has also arranged a special private breakfast at the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural
Centre in Whistler, where you’ll learn about the First Nations people.
You’ll have leisure time in the towns to explore on your own or to participate in optional activities.
Sample the cuisine offered in the towns, take a scenic walk, relax, and enjoy peace and quiet while
surrounded by awe-inspiring scenery. Words and photos cannot adequately capture the beauty
of this area. You must witness it in person, and this tour offers the opportunity to sit back and take
it all in.
Day 1 Cornwall - Vancouver, BC Welcome to Vancouver, your gateway to the Canadian Rockies!
At 6 pm, meet your traveling companions for a welcome drink. Your Tour Director will prepare you
for your upcoming adventure.
Day 2 Vancouver - Victoria This morning, tour Vancouver, including the waterfront, Chinatown,
and Stanley Park with its old-growth evergreen forests and totem poles. Catch the FERRY over
to Vancouver Island and Victoria. Visit world-famous BUTCHART GARDENS, followed by a special
dinner in the original Butchart family residence. See major attractions on your city orientation tour
including the Fairmont Empress Hotel, Bastion Square, and Thunderbird Park.
Day 3 Victoria The day is free to explore on your own; your Tour Director suggests an optional
marine wildlife and whale-watching trip. Shoppers will love Government Street’s elegant shops
and Market Square’s specialty stores, while history buffs should be sure to visit the Royal British
Columbia Museum.
Day 4 Victoria - Whistler Today, board a BC FERRY and cross the Strait of Georgia and cruise
through the spectacular Gulf Islands, an archipelago known for its Mediterranean-type climate.
Stop at SHANNON FALLS, where a boardwalk leads to a viewing platform near the base of the
roaring falls. On to the alpine resort of Whistler at the base of breathtaking Blackcomb Mountain.
Time to explore the 2010 Winter Olympics’ sites.
22
Day 5 Whistler Today is free to explore all that Whistler has to offer. You might enjoy a trip on
Whistler’s Peak2Peak Gondola, connecting Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains. Enjoy spectacular
scenery and incredible photo opportunities as you travel via the longest unsupported gondola
span in the world. Other options include a walk in the tree tops, a sightseeing excursion by air,
shopping in the village, or just relaxing at your resort.
Day 6 Whistler - Sun Peaks This morning, enjoy a visit and private breakfast at the SQUAMISH
LIL’WAT CULTURAL CENTRE, dedicated to the history and culture of the First Nations people.
Then, journey north through the heart of the magnificent Cariboo region. Spectacular scenery
abounds as you pass by rolling hills, deeply incised rivers, and sparkling lakes. Afternoon arrival
in Sun Peaks with the balance of the day at leisure. You may take advantage of an optional canoe
trip on Lake McGillivray, where, surrounded by beautiful scenery, you learn about Canada’s fur
trade.
Day 7 Sun Peaks - Jasper Continue north, following the Yellowhead Highway and hugging the
mighty North Thompson River, into the province of Alberta. See the base of 12,972-foot Mount
Robson (the highest point in the Canadian Rockies) before entering JASPER NATIONAL PARK. Marvel at the precipitous gorges, snowcapped
summits, and lakes of exquisite blues and greens in this wild mountain wilderness. Before arriving at your hotel, perhaps take an optional
float trip down the historic Athabasca River, where your experienced guide will navigate as you absorb the splendor of Jasper National Park.
Day 8 Jasper Enjoy a sightseeing tour to see Jasper’s unspoiled beauty. Afterward, travel to glacial Maligne Lake for a narrated CRUISE to
Spirit Island. On the return journey, stop to view Maligne Canyon. Balance of the day is at leisure to explore Jasper on your own.
Day 9 Jasper - Columbia Icefield - Lake Louise - Banff This morning, travel through Jasper National Park on Icefields Parkway to the
1,200-foot-thick Columbia Icefield for a thrilling ICE EXPLORER RIDE. Climb Sunwapta Pass to savor stunning vistas of alpine meadows,
waterfalls, and massive glaciers, then scale Bow Pass with splendid views of Peyto Lake. Next, stop at Lake Louise, whose green-blue waters
form a perfect mirror reflection of Mount Victoria. Continue into BANFF NATIONAL PARK.
Day 10 Banff Sightseeing includes a visit to Sulphur Mountain for a ride on the BANFF GONDOLA, complete with panoramic views of Banff’s
spectacular scenery. Also visit Bow Falls and the Hoodoos. The balance of the day is at leisure. Consider an optional flightseeing trip for a bird’seye view of the Rockies. This evening, join your Tour Director for a farewell dinner.
Day 11 Banff - Calgary Depart Banff for Calgary International Airport. Home bound.

SHAW FESTIVAL
& Niagara-on-the-Lake
Niagara-on-the-Lake not only offers world-class theatre at
the Shaw Festival, it is also the number one Food and Wine
destination in Canada. You will stay at the Vintage flagship
property, The Prince of Wales, named in honor of a visit by the
Duke and Duchess of York in 1901, and situated on the main
street, steps away from theatres & dining.
Shaw Festival shows are staged at four possible theatres all
on Queen Street which is the main street. Starting with a world
premiere, thrill to 19 original songs in the adventures of ALICE IN
WONDERLAND. Returning to the Shaw Festival lineup is MRS WARREN’S PROFESSION, a searing
expose of the world’s oldest profession. They say “there are no secrets better kept than the secrets
everybody guesses.”
Offered as an optional extra musical in this tour, will be SWEENEY TODD, a musical thriller about The
Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Then Oscar Wilde’s play A WOMAN OF NO IMPORTANCE offered as an
optional extra, will combine a skillful mix of comedy, style and social commentary.
We’ll visit a certified organic winery for tasting and lunch, and the newest shopping mecca in
Niagara-on-the-Lake featuring nearly 100 marquee retailers. Fresh roasted weekly peanuts in every
form imaginable can be found at Picard’s Outlet when we visit.
Nothing can compare to staying right in the heart of Niagara-on-the-lake. You can choose a horse
drawn carriage waiting just outside your front door at Prince of Wales, to show you about town in
comfort! Treat yourself to a very special four days.

WE ARE A FULL SERVICE TRAVEL AGENCY & TRAVEL TOUR COMPANY
TRAVEL TOUR COMPANY GENERAL INFORMATION & POLICIES
OUR TRAVEL TOUR COMPANY specializes in personally guided tours of Canada, the United States and Overseas
destinations. Travel via deluxe air conditioned Motorcoach, with qualified coach drivers and total comfort.
TOUR DIRECTOR: All our tours provide the services of an experienced Tour Director where noted in the inclusions.
OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC: Most itineraries are available to travellers of all ages except very young
children.
SMOKING & ALCOHOL POLICY: For the comfort of everyone, smoking or drinking of alcoholic beverages is not
permitted on the motorcoach. Smokers may take advantage of the frequent stops. With the majority of hotels and
properties now offering non-smoking facilities and accommodations, should you wish to have a smoking room, this
can be accepted as a request only and will be determined only by the availability, if any, of smoking rooms at the
subject property(s).
SEATING: Seats may not be reserved in the motorcoach; they are first come, first served. A rotation system is used
whereby you change seats at the discretion of your Tour Director on overnight and multiple day tours.
ITINERARIES: Prior to tour departing, you will be sent your tour package which will contain a detailed itinerary,
luggage tags, insurance particulars, where applicable, and a complete listing of hotels with phone numbers. This is
sent to each client prior to tour departure date, electronically or by mail.
DEPOSIT: Reservations will be confirmed when the deposit is received in the amount indicated on individual trip
descriptions. Tentative reservations will be held for ten days pending receipt of required deposit. Registrations can
still be accepted up to 48 hours prior to tour departing, provided the tour is not sold out, and provided we can secure
all components advertised.
TOUR PRICE: Canadian Dollar prices listed are per person based on single, double, triple & quad occupancy. All
taxes where applicable are included. Prices are based upon costs and conditions at the time of printing (February

who is replacing, will need to pay for their tour in full.
If a person is traveling with a partner whether it is Double, Triple or Quad, and replacement is not found, the remaining
travelers will be charged for the change in occupancy. For example: Two people traveling together find that one needs
to cancel, then remaining partner will be charged the difference from double to single. In all instances, Jolly Tours
