Museum of Contemporary Crafts), Paul J. Smith has
spent his career creating exhibitions and supporting
the careers of artists that have come to define the
contemporary studio craft movement. Over the
course of many decades, Smith has documented
artists in their studios, homes and professional
lives. Paul J. Smith Portraits pairs a portfolio of 20
of Smith’s portraits with works from the ASU Art
Museum’s unparalleled collection of contemporary
