• 6 p.m. – Balloon Flight in to Vince

• 6 - 9 p.m. Live music at WIU’s Vince Grady Field by the EndNotes.

2013 Macomb Balloon Rally attracts 23 pilots
On behalf of the Macomb Balloon Rally
Committee, welcome to
the 27th annual Macomb
Balloon Rally.
The committee has put
together a two-day free
event for residents and
visitors of the city of Macomb. This year’s theme
is “Superheroes.” Please
feel free to dress as your
favorite superhero for this
year’s balloon glow event.
This year’s flights will
be held Friday, Sept. 6
and Saturday, Sept. 7, with Western Illinois University’s Vince Grady
Field serving as the
event’s home base. Events

include scheduled flights
on Friday night, Saturday
morning and Saturday
night.
The rally concludes
Saturday night with the
popular balloon glow
event, when all 23
balloon pilots set up on
Vince Grady Field and
light up their hot air
balloons against the night
sky.
The glow also gives event
attendees a chance to ask
pilots questions about
their sport.
So bring a lawn chair
or a blanket and get a
front row seat for this
year’s balloon event!
