Brandbjerg Folk High School - an international gathering point !
Brandbjerg Folk High School is situated in the beautiful countryside just north of Vejle. It is an international Folk High
School with long as well as short courses.
We also offer facilities for conferences, seminars and parties. We have extensive experience in catering for a broad
variety of needs – including facilitation of teambuilding workshops, live concerts etc. Our kitchen is extremely well
regarded, and as the school was originally built as a conference center, we have good facilities for overnight stays.
Over the years we have developed a close collaboration with several large companies around our courses and facilities.
Novo Nordic, Vejle Kommune and Danfoss employees are regular guests here. Brandbjerg Højskole offers informal,
friendly surroundings combined with high quality content aimed at professionals.

Open events in an international environment
 Throughout the year concerts as well as the Brandbjerg Festival - our annual music festival -are open for guests
 We run a diversity of cultural events in an international setting: gourmet dinners, nature day etc
Language courses
 We are happy to design short intensive Danish courses for international employees in a form, that ensures a
warm and welcoming setting. All language courses are developed in collaboration with International
Communication and take place at Brandbjerg.
 English refresher course. Especially developed for Danish employees in companies that speak English as their
daily language. A 3-5 day course with daily language lessons tailored to the needs of the group -lessons taught
by language staff at International Communication. The afternoons and evening activities are all in English,
taught by subject specialists: music, film, cooking…A nurturing way of gaining confidence in using the English
language. The course can be tailor made to fit your particular language needs. Novo Nordic is booking courses
regularly.
Long courses for grown up children of your employees
Our long courses (5-42 weeks) have a mix of international and Danish students. We offer a vibrant and supportive
community that can create the frame for some of the most unforgettable months. We offer a broad range of subjects:
Outdoor, Music, Project Leadership etc. You eat, sleep, study and spend your spare time at the school. The everyday
language is English. There are no academic requirements for admission and there are no exams – but you will get a

We recommend a stay (5-42 weeks) for children of international employees ( 18+), while their parents work in
Denmark. A stay at Brandbjerg Folk High School is a unique introduction to Denmark and Danish culture. Danish
language lessons are optional.
We recommend a stay ( 5-42 weeks) for children ( 18+) of Danish employees working abroad in other parts of
your company. It offers valuable time for creating a good network – both internationally and in Denmark.

Brandbjerg Højskole can contribute to the companies in ’Trekantsområdet’ in other ways too:
Short courses:
 Future Navigator - 2x1 week - especially designed for the young trainees of your company. The focus is on idea
development and innovation skills. The participants will gain project leadership tools as well as insights into
personal resources and strengths. They will benefit from the exchange across the group, as well as the guidance
from our experienced team of staff. We have run the course with very positive response for the past five years
for trainees from a wide range of companies, both public and private – LEGO, Vejle Kommune, Danfoss, Region
Syd etc. This diversity is considered a great strength by the participants. The next course is in Oct/Nov 2014

Other courses that can be recommended for employees: ’Personlig Power og Frugtbart Samarbejde’ , ’Skab
resten af dit Liv’, ’Verden og Mig i Forandring’. These are currently taught in Danish.

Conference center
 We offer facilities for conferences, seminars and parties. We have extensive experience in catering for a broad
variety of needs – from the small management meeting around the fire place, to the large seminars with 100+
people.
 We offer facilitation of teambuilding workshops – Music, LandArt, Outdoor etc., and we can arrange live
concerts. Workshops and events can be run in English if required. UNIK, Montana and Arla are among those
who have been here recently.
