Woody Mann
Among guitarists and critics, Woody
Mann is considered a modern master.
While the blues are his touchstone, he
draws inspiration from every direction,
blending a myriad of influences with
ease and grace. Woody Mann received
his first musical schooling in the living
room of Rev. Gary Davis, the now
legendary blues, gospel, and ragtime
guitarist. Though Davis died in 1972, his
guitar mastery proved to be an indelible
influence on his young student and
friend. Since then Woody has pursued
a rich and diverse career, which ranges
from playing with jazz great Attila Zoller,
to accompanying songwriter Dori Previn,
and teaching guitar to Paul Simon.

For sixty years Elizabeth II has met each of her 12 Prime
Ministers in a weekly audience at Buckingham Palace.
Both parties have an unspoken agreement never to
repeat what is said. Not even to their spouses. The
Audience breaks this contract of silence – and imagines
a series of pivotal meetings between the Downing Street
incumbents and their Queen. From Churchill to Cameron,
each Prime Minister has used these private conversations
as a sounding board and a confessional – sometimes
intimate, sometimes explosive. Recorded live from the
National Theatre production on Thursday 13 June and
shown as live on our cinema screen. Starring Helen Mirren
and Haydn Gwynne.
£14.00, concessions & Reel Culture
members £12.50, Matinee £10.00
For five decades the Colne Valley
Railway Preservation Society has been
preserving the history of the line that
ran from Chappel to Haverhill. In his talk
Nick Ellis, the Society Archivist, will both
cover the building, life, demise and
rebirth of the Colne Valley Railway.

Pierce Brosnan leads an otherwise allScandinavian cast as a testy fruit ’n’ veg
mogul whose son is getting married in
Sorrento. En route to the wedding he literally
bumps into recovering cancer sufferer Ida
who is actually the mother of the bride, and
for this and other reasons – including sibling
jealousy, spousal death and rampant infidelity
– theirs is not an obviously destined pairing.
