THE CHASE - Chicagoland Speedway
THE CHASE
FOR THE NASCAR SPRINT CUP
STARTS HERE!
Dear Chicagoland Speedway Guests,
On behalf of our staff and volunteers,
I welcome you to Chicagoland
Speedway’s 2011 season. We truly
appreciate your continued support of
our facility and hope you enjoy yourself
during your visit.
As we celebrate our 10th Anniversary season, we are more committed
than ever to exceeding expectations by providing you with non-stop action
and excitement both on and off the track. We hope that the recent changes
implemented – wider bench seating, more restrooms on the mezzanine
level, coolers being permitted in the grandstands and more entertainment
options – speak to that commitment.
We are thrilled to kick off the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup weekend,
September 16-18. Hosting the first of ten “playoff” style NASCAR Sprint
Cup Series races in pursuit of the 2011 championship is a privilege.
NextMedia radio stations WCCQ-FM 98.3, WWYW-FM 103.9 and
1340 WJOL-AM will deliver “The Voice of NASCAR” to race fans in the
Chicagoland area and surrounding counties all season long. For wall-towall weekend coverage of Chicagoland Speedway happenings including
regular traffic updates, tune in to 1340 WJOL-AM.
While you are visiting, be sure to take some time to enjoy everything
Chicagoland Speedway has to offer. As you stroll down the paved
walkways through Champions Park, take a moment to visit our interactive
displays, enjoy the live entertainment, and stop by the KIDZway! The
Kid’s Club, sponsored by Radio Disney, is for the young racing fans and
will provide members with exclusive race weekend activities and prizes.
As always, it is our goal that your visit to Chicagoland Speedway
is enjoyable and as pleasant as possible. We encourage your
feedback as we are always looking for ways to develop and
improve our service. So, drop us a note or send an e-mail to
[email protected] to let us know what you think.
Also, be sure to log onto www.ChicagolandSpeedway.com for the most
up-to-date information on the latest happenings around Chicagoland
Speedway. You can also scan the QR code on the back of some tickets
with your smart phone for a direct link to the most current information on
today’s events.
If you should need more information or additional assistance during the
weekend, please find one of our helpful Guest Services representatives,
or visit one of the many information booths located around the racetrack.
Whether this is your first experience at Chicagoland Speedway, or you’ve
enjoyed our facility in the past, I hope today’s events provide you with
great memories that will last a lifetime.
Again, welcome to Chicagoland Speedway and enjoy the races!
Best Regards,
Scott Paddock

TRAFFIC TIPS AND ADVISORIES
Construction on IL 53 (Chicago Street): Road construction on IL 53 south of
Arsenal Road will reduce capacity from four lanes to two lanes via a median
“crossover.” Guests planning on exiting northbound I-55 at New River Road
may experience delays. Guests utilizing I-55 northbound should continue to
Arsenal Road, then travel east to IL 53.
Red Line (Northwest Corridor) Congestion: The Red Line may experience
congestion on southbound IL 53 (Chicago Street) due to heavy event traffic
combined with increasing amounts of truck traffic. Guests should consider
continuing south on I-55 to Arsenal Road to use the more lightly travelled
Yellow Line (Southwest Corridor).
THE “RED LINE” NORTH-WEST CORRIDOR
• Follow southbound I-55 (don’t be distracted by directional signs on I-55
for “Joliet Rd.” or “Historic Route 66” as these routes run through congested
