2. Three Beets, tops cut to 1/2” from crown, tap roots left intact.
3. Three Cucumber in uniform size & length

be disbudded for quality bloom.
7. Calula - 3 stems with one flower each. A stem is a plant structure carrying one or ore flowers and/or buds.
All vegetables should be cleared of garden dirt, but not scrubbed. They should be free from disease or other markings.
Vegetables displayed in threes should be of uniform size and bright, healthy condition. Your best produce for judging
will be true to type and matching in proportion and condition. Remember a healthy, blemish free vegetable is more
important than size. Flowers must be displayed in suitable vases, in water. Paper plates will be supplied at the
exhibition hall and must be used for each display class. School garden display items must be from your own school
garden. You may decorate your table any way you like by adding your own toys or horticultural decoration of your
choice. A striking display will promote and emphasize the garden produce, not hide it. Tables are supplied but you
must bring your own table cloth.
SET-UP of TABLE DISPLAY - Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009 at Grey Roots between 6:30pm and 8:30pm.
