SYNOPSIS : The story revolves around Manickam, a good for nothing youth, who throws his weight around his
house with his violent attitude. One day in a fit of rage, he injures his younger brother, following which he is sent
off to Madras to his maternal uncle's house.
His uncle an upright policeman loves Manickam very much and welcomes him home hoping to change him with
his soft approach. At his uncle's place, Manickam whiles away his time on the terrace with a pair of binoculars in
hand. A young couple, Roopini and Santosh playing golf everyday catch his fancy while surveying the
neighbourhood through the binoculars. The duo is in a clandestine relationship carried on behind their spouses
back and this is closely followed by Manickam everyday.
One evening, he video records their intimate relationship and with that he begins to blackmail Roopini, who is married to a young
businessman, played by Manoj K.Jayan. Despite Roopini offering large sums of money for the cassette, Manickam refuses to part with it. His
demand is much greater. He wants an assurance from her that she will provide him a luxurious life throughout his life. Roopini has no choice.
Santosh on hearing about this deal sends his men to kill Manickam, but it is a vain effort and only infuriates Manickam who goes on a
breaking spree at Roopini's house. She is forced to arrange a holiday for Manickam and his friends to Australia. The friends have a rollicking
time Down Under where Manickam falls in love with Rosy, a Tamilian girl residing there. Love blooms and all seems to be going Manickam's
way, until one day he arrives at Rosy's house to find that she has gone.
And at that moment, he receives a call from Roopini in India, telling him that Rosy was with her and that he could have her back in exchange
for the cassette in question. Back in India, Manickam realizes that Rosy was in fact a housemaid's daughter and was a part of Roopini's plan to
outwit him.
For Manickam, all that matters was Rosy whom he loved her very much. Does he join her' Does Roopini free herself from the clutches of her
blackmailer' The remaining story tells you that with some twists and turns.
SYNOPSIS :The movie begins with Bhaskar (Srikanth) visiting his village for his friend
Archana's (Gopika) wedding. But he ends up in returning to city with Gopika herself for
she comes to know of the bridegroom's bad past in the village just before the marriage.
Friends since their childhood days, the couple begins to live in a small house owned by
Vivek in Chennai. Meanwhile, Bhaskar, a research scholar in Chemistry, succeeds in
coming out with a prototype of a desalination plant which he wants to give to the
government and solve the water crisis in Chennai.
He eventually gets discouraged by the government authorities and even the State Minister. He then decides to prove everyone wrong and
plans to set up his own desalination plant based on the methods of his research. Along with Archana, he runs from pillar to post for loan. In
between, the couple falls in love and ties the knot.
Enters Madan (Prithviraj), a college mate of Archana, Madan gets acquainted with their family. Coming to know of their troubles, the rich
Madan volunteers to help them and even lends money. All troubles begin only now. Madan happens to be a 'business consultant' who lends
money to companies, corporates and individuals at exorbitant rates of interest and uses his might to recover them.
In Bhaskar's case, he begins to trouble them demanding his money back and threatens to take over the research works of Bhaskar with which
he aspires to make a huge sum.The movie after several twists and turns ends on a happy note.

SYNOPSIS : The movie is about why should the State government usher free pregnancy treatment
to prevent several women being made to undergo operation (caessarian) during pregnancy by
greedy doctors out to make a fast buck.The movie begins with Thirupathy (Ajith), running a
sound service, ready to take on any evil that he comes across in his day-to-day life. He happens
to meet a beautician Priya (Sadha). A sequence of hilarious encounters between them results in
love blossoming between them.
Meanwhile Thirupathy's friend Muthu (Riaz Khan), son of a State Minister, for whom Thirupathy is ready to go to any extent and sacrifice
anything in life, turns his foe when Thirupathy tries to bump off a doctor whose callousness results in Thirupathy's sister's (Dheepu) death
during pregnancy.Muthu prevents Thirupathy from bumping off the doctor and threatens to kill Thirupathy himself for the doctor is none
other than Muthu's brother himself.
Coming to know that he has been betrayed by his own friend, Thirupathy resolves to put an end to both. He manages to kidnap Muthu and
efforts to trace Thirupathy and Muthu fail.
Meanwhile, he manages to use Muthu as his bait to get the State government enact a law on providing free treatment for pregnant women in
all the hospitals in the State. All's well finally ends well.
SYNOPSIS : He movie unfolds with Sachien (Vijay) waiting to take a flight to go abroad.
The flashback begins.
Sachien is a carefree and noble-hearted college student, who comes across Shalini
(Genelia) in the campus and falls in love with her.
Ayyasamy, (Vadivelu) and Santhanam (Lollu Sabha Santhanam), students in the same college also love Shalini. Shalini though is a good friend
of Sachien, doesn't want to tell those three words that he wants her to. It eventually becomes a cat and mouse game. Enters Manju (Bipasha
Basu), who runs behind Sachien with skimpy costumes, and that makes Shalini go green with envy.
When Sachien comes to know that Shalini's parents have arranged her wedding with an industrialist's son in Canada, he decides to bid bye to
her and even asks apolgy for running behind her so long. Now enters Gowtham (Raghuvaran), a rich businessman and father of Sachien.
Following a sequence of events, Shalini develops a soft corner for Sachien and decides to express her love to him.
And she does after a typical climax in the airport.

Sakhi's family, Priya's family is 'cosmopolitan' and too outgoing. Her mother(Aishwarya), is a party going socialite, while her
father(Pratap K. Pothen) restricts himself to his house and doesn't bother to have a social life of his own. Priya always goes out partying
and doesn't spend much time with her family. Brought up in such a situation, Priya finds it hard to adjust to the family of Sakhi because
his family doesn't like all this going out and partying stuff. They prefer to stay home and mix with family. Sakhi tries to make her wife
understand the realities of life and the importance of family.

SYNOPSIS : The film is about a possessive youth who plays spoilsport between a
husband and wife. Actress Reema Sen and newcomer Vishal play the part of the
couple while Boys-fame Bharath is cast as the possessive youth.
Reema Sen showers love and affection on Bharath, her neighbor, since his
childhood. Bharath happens to be the only son of a rich business tycoon Girish
Karnad, who loses his mother at a young age. Reema treats Bharath as her younger
brother and spends all her time with him.
Meanwhile, Vishal , an income tax officer, turns up at Girish Karnad's house for an IT raid and happens to meet Reema there. They eventually
fall in love and after a series of incidents they gets wed locked. They settle in Goa then. The trouble begins when Bharath reaches Goa in search
of Reema. He manages to kidnap Reema and bring her to Chennai.The reasons for Bharath's obsession and possessiveness towards Reema
unfolds as the movie progresses.
Vishal who comes back to Goa finds the house deserted. The next door neighbor tells him that Reema eloped with Bharat. He then begins to
track her down and finds that the duo had left for Chennai. Vishal reaches Chennai but is unable to tell his parents the real plight. With the help
of Vivek his collegue he tries to trace her out. A chance look at the video of their marriage throws light on Bharat's hatred towards Vishal. Now
Vishal is convinced that Reema did not go on her own will. He confronts Bharat's father but he is of no help. Finally he traces out the location of
Bharat's hideout. Reema on the other hand pleads with Bharat to release her. She explains that she cannot be his wife and can see him only as a
son or a kid brother. The plea falls on deaf ears. In a racy climax on high seas the three protagonists fight it out and Reema hits Bharat with the
boat oars. He plunges in to the sea in an unconscious condition taking along Reema too. Vishal comes at the nick of the time and saves her.
Even though she had killed him she is filled with remorse.

SYNOPSIS : The story revolves around Suryaa village youth who is sympathized for his looks but is lauded for selfless service to others. He
covers up his handicap with humor. Unmindful of his looks, Chinna goes around looking for a suitable bride with the help of his friend
(Vivek). Brushing aside many an insult hurled at him, he carries on. In contrast to him is the other Surya, a rough college student who loves his
classmate Jothika. She comes across Chinna, who assures her that he would get her married to the man of her heart but Jothika gets killed in a
fracas involving a gangster. Meanwhile, the hunchback Surya comes across an orphaned poor blind girl (played by Jothika again). He wins
over heart by helping her out. Thanks to his efforts, she gains her vision (the eyes of deceased Jothika are transplanted on her). This results in
a tussle between both Suryas as to whom Jothika belongs to now. However, fearing his looks, the hunchback Surya decides to leave way for
the other. But fate have different things for him.

SYNOPSIS :The story is set in a rural area around Madurai. The village is called Parithiyur where
Paruthiveeran lives with his doting uncle -- father's brother, (Saravanan). The name paruthiveeran
literally means "the hero of paruthi", derived from the fact that the village where he lives (and the
movie is set) is called Paruthi or Paruthiyur. Parithi means sun in Tamil. The village in reality is quite
famous for the sun temple in south India.
He probably is referred to as the hero of Paruthi village as he heroically saves the life of the young Muthazhagu. He shapes up as a brutal bully
and leads a care-free life. Muthazhagu (Priyamani) loves him more than her life, but he remains unmoved and keeps her at bay. At times he is
violent too. When he understands her true love for him and decides to marry her, the feud between the two families comes in the way.
Determined as he is to possess her, he warns her against marrying anyone else on the insistence of her father or mother. He even threatens to
cut her into pieces. Undeterred by his threats, her parents press ahead with the preparations for her marriage with a man of their choice.
Finally they decide to elope together. They are found by her Father and they eventually die at the end of the movie.

Meanwhile, Prakashraj follows him to the city and zeroes in on Vijay and Trisha. However, Vijay manages to procure passports and visas for
Trisha and sends her to USA. Only after leaving her in the airport, he realises that he had fallen in love with her.
The rest of the story revolves around how Vijay takes on Prakashraj and finally manages to win Trisha's love.
SYNOPSIS : For Kumaran (Ravi) life is all about his mother Mahalakshmi (Nadhiya) who is separated from her husband Eshwar (Prakash Raj).
Kumaran is passionate about kickboxing and he shares a very special relationship with his mother. In between, Kumaran falls in love with
Malabar (Asin). But his life is destroyed after his mother's death. On the deathbed she tells her son to meet his father, a kick boxing champion,
who lives in Malaysia. Kumaran goes to Malaysia to meet him and he comes across his father who is happily settled with a new family.
Kumaran gets a job at his father's kickboxing academy. But by this time, Eshwar runs foul of one of his students. The rest of the story is about
how Eshwar trains Kumaran against his enemy and wins, while Kumaran helps his stepsister with her love.

SYNOPSIS : "Pokiri" is a Tamil remake of this year's biggest Telugu hit of the same
title which featured Mahesh Babu in the lead. Some changes have been made in the
Tamil re-make to suit the Tamil Nadu audiences. The strength of the story lies in
maintaining the suspense of the true identity of the hero till the end. It is a mix of
action and romance with a message about the duty and responsibility of the police
force.
The hero (Vijay), a young IPS officer, acts as an undercover cop to weed out the anti-socials who are ruling the roost. A gang controlled by
underworld don, Prakash Raj, operates with impunity. Vijay makes "Fight evil with evil" as his credo and is out to eliminate the gang outside the
pale of law with indomitable courage and ingenuity.
Asin works as an instructor at an aerobic centre run by Nasser, a retired circle inspector, who is proud of being a sincere and straightforward
member of the police force. The girl falls in love with Vijay.

the cause for the death of a stranger called Pardhoo (Rajiv Kanakala), a run-away youngster who wants to return home after 12 years. Nandu

vanish from the city. Atul Kulkarni, who is in charge of the investigation, manages to nab
Simbu. It is when, the truth is revealed. There are two Simbus. The elder one is soft and
honest guy, working as an accountant in the city. The other Simbu is the student, killing
women like a serial killer. Jothika who mistakes the nice guy for the killer helps in the arrest.
The younger one goes on a killing spree because a classmate Vaishnavi (Sindhu Tholani- whom he loves deeply) once cheated him. He takes
up the role of a youth cleansing up the society of girls who are of easy virtue. So his modus operandi is to seduce and kill the young girls.
Finally when the good guy is taken in the circumstantial evidence and the past of his younger brother makes the court believe that it's a case of
mistaken identity. He goes away scot-free. He turns down Jothika's love. Now Simbhu introduces a new twist to the bloody tale. When Jothika
walks away promising to wait for him the audience sees Simbu looking at them with characteristic trickle of blood coming out of his nose, a
trait of the killer when he prepares for the kill.

leads to the birth of twins (both Ajith). The kids are shared among the couple. After a couple of decades, Shiva Shankar becomes a
millionaire but is confined to a wheel chair. His son Vishnu (Ajith) enjoys the worldly pleasures and falls in love with Divya (Asin). When he is
about to marry Divya, Vishnu shows lunatic tendencies and tries to bump off his father.
SYNOPSIS : A NRI youth from London Santosh (Jeyam Ravi), comes to India with his mother (Geetha) to attend a family wedding. He comes
across a young girl Kavitha (Trisha), who also come to attend the wedding. He falls for her instantly. After a few cat and mouse games between
them, they finally come close to each other. Now they start to face problems.
Kavitha's brother (Prabhu), who has brought her up in life since the death of their mother, hates rich men for a rich man ditched their mother.
For Santosh, his mother is a hitch opposing his affair. What next?
Santosh leaves his house to reach Kavitha's village. When his efforts to convince her brother fails, he finally accepts a challenge from him.
Kavitha's brother gives him a piece of land and asks him to come up with more produce than he could. Did he accomplish the mission or not? It
forms the climax.

SYNOPSIS : The movie revolves around E alias (Easwaran), an orphan brought up in the musty, teeming
slums of Chennai by an old woman. For him money is the thing in life, he does anything for that. He
Comes across Jothy (Nayantra), a bar dancer, who settles down in the same locality. After a few
encounters they get acquainted with each other. E's simple ways attract Jothy.
Coming to know of his past, Jothy tries desperate to correct his ways and set him on the right path. Meanwhile Dr Ramakrishnan (Ashish
Vidyarthy) takes up the task of testing a medicine devised by a foreign company, which may come handy in killing people in thousands
especially during times of wars.
Dr Ramakrishnan chooses Jothy's sister and E's grandmother as specimen for the test. He cashes in on the ignorance to slum-dwellers. Things
take a turn, when E rescues Dr Ramakrishnan from a murder bid by Nellai Mani (Pasupathy).
A sequence of events brings Nellai Mani and E together. Without knowning his motive, E hides him in a secret place and decides to hand him
over to Dr Ramakrishnan for a huge sum. Slowly E gets attracted by good ways of Nellai Mani.
Through him, E comes to know of Ramakrishnan's ulterior motives. Nellai Mani, a revolutionary fighting for a cause, tries to bring about a
change in E's heart. Succeeding in his attempt, Nellai Mani lays down his life leaving E to complete his task. The rest is all about E's show all the
way in putting an end to Ramakrishnan and his evil ways.

clutches of her family, which has other plans about her future. The naïve Murugan hesitantly yields to her charm and the two run away to
Chennai. Murugan's friend Stephen (Sukumar) helps them in the hour of crisis and the lovers unite in marriage. But her family is not going to
give up so easily on the daughter they dote on. The family tracks down the couple that has eloped and eventually separates them. Aishwarya
agrees to marry another man in order to save Murugan's life after he is being beaten by her father. While she believes this decision is best and
moves on with her life, she one day while on the road with her husband and daughter runs into Murugan who was suffered permanent brain
damage. Knowing that she had made a mistake and not knowing how to undo the sins of her father, she and her husband decide to take care of

SYNOPSIS : The story is told through the protagonist Murugesan (Pasupathy) who recalls his childhood in
Virudhunagar town. His father is a butcher who works hard to bring up his four children - two boys and two girls, and
has a happy family.
Murugesan dotes on his younger brother Kathir and his weakness, like any other adolescent is love for movies (especially MGR films) that are screened in a
local theatre. But one day life changes for him when his father catches him red-handed from the theatre after he bunks school. The child is severely punished.
He runs away from home taking money and jewels.
Along the way Murugesan gets sidetracked from his intended destination of Chennai by an MGR Movie poster. He's shown watching several MGR shows,
buying a change of clothes and eating a hearty meal with his ill-gotten money. After spending the night at local temple, he wakes up to find his money and
other possessions missing. Murugesan is then taken under the wings of a theatre projectionist in a nearby town and slowly the theatre becomes his home. As
an adult, he falls in love with Thangam (Priyanka), a beautiful girl who lives opposite the theatre but their love story does not have a happy ending. Murugesan
is crestfallen after Thankam's death and takes to the bottle. Sometime later the theatre is demolished, the owner citing loss of business.
He decides to return home after 20 years. The rest of the film is all about Murugesan's mental turmoil, as he is caught between the deep love showered by his
younger brother Kathir (Bharath) who runs a successful advertising agency and his guilt of not being a responsible son or elder brother. There is a parallel love
story between Meenakshi (Bhavana), an innocent girl and Kathir. Then there is Pandi (Sriya Reddy) who is Murugesan's childhood sweetheart. The rest of the
story is about what happens to Murugesan and Kathir.

Also the queen's brother, the Rajguru turns happy when the astrologer predicts that the next child of Queen would be a real idiot and can be
molded according to Rajaguru's wish. Unfortunately, a twin is born and Rajguru has no other option but to hand over one child to the
astraologer asking him to kill it.
Meanwhile, the King and the Queen name the child as 23 am Pulikesi and grows him up. Thanks to Rajaguru around, the child grows an idiot,
fun-loving youth and a womanizer.
Meanwhile the other child grows up as Ugiraputhan and excels in education and warfare. Coming to know of his past, Ugiraputhan
unleashes a plan to save his kingdom. He manages to replace Pulikesi and starts to set the house in order thereby incurring the wrath of the
Rajaguru.
Finally it is all up to Ugiraputhan and his loyal commander-in-chief (Sriman) in teaching Rajaguru a lesson.

SYNOPSIS :Set in the backdrop of a suburban area near Chennai, it tells the story of Venkatesh (Sarath Kumar), a medical representative. He
settles down to a cozy domestic life with his wife Kalyani (Andrea) and a six-year-old son Nanda. With no big desires, demands or needs,
Venkatesh maintains his status quo by doing his 9 to 5 job with complete satisfaction.
His happy life takes a jerk when his son is diagnosed for juvenile diabetics. Unable to bare the trauma, Kalyani finds it difficult to cope with the
changed circumstances. Venkatesh tries hard to bring her to normalcy and explains her that life should go on notwithstanding the setbacks.
However, gradually, their sparkling life looses its luster.
At this juncture Geeta (Jyothika) meets Venkatesh in a train and attracted by his gentleness and naivety, turns him into an object of desire.
Things change dramatically when she brings Venkatesh to a resort and there starts a dangerous adventure. How Venkatesh comes out of the
web is narrated interestingly in the remaining part of the movie.
SYNOPSIS :Rajarajan (Raj Kiran) is an honest policeman, whose guiding principle is to be a faithful guardian for
the public. He leads a tranquil life with his huge family comprising a caring wife (Saranya), three sons, two
daughters and a jobless son-in-law (Vivek). Rajarajan has only one goal in life: to make his eldest son Sakthivel
(Ajith) a policeman like him.
Sakthi bumps into Divya (Trisha), a jovial college student and after a few comic encounters they become closer. Eventually they both fall in
love. Both the families agree their marriage. The situation changes when Rajarajan slaps the son of the local MLA for humiliating a policeman
in public.
The goons pressurize Rajarajan to apologize but he remains stubborn and refuses to yield to their threats. As a punishment, Rajarajan is
transferred to Kodaikanal, which is terrorized by a notorious gangster Varadarajan (Ajay). Nevertheless, even in his new posting, Rajarajan is
sucked deeper into problems, for no fault of his. On the day when Sakthi was to get selected as an Sub Inspector, an incident happens which
turns their life topsy-turvy. However, Sakthi is not the one to be cowed down by threats. How he fulfils his father's ambition comes in an
interesting presentation in the second half of the movie.
