POVS BOUND TO EUROPE
No scheduled departure dates
We generate a bid to award contract to a shipping agent
Once awarded contract, shipping agent will provide a container from mainland as well
as departure dates and other info.
This process can take 2 to 3 weeks.
Transit time takes approx. a month and a half.
In order to have your POV waiting for you at your next base, two months in advance
is a good time frame to bring your orders to us.
* NOTE: POVs only need to have a “normal” standard of cleanliness.

The POV may not have more than one quarter tank of fuel
Your POV is NOT to be used to ship personal property. The government will not be
held liable for items other than:
–First aid kits
–Hand tools
–Flashlights
–Jumper cables
–Blankets
–Child Seats
–Triangles and Vests
–Fire Extinguishers

In order to meet U.S. agriculture requirements, the interior and exterior of the POV must be
“FACTORY CLEAN” and debris free; including:

–Hood and trunk crevices
–Beneath gas cap
–Truck carpet
–Beneath truck carpet
–Spare tire area
–Seats
–Underneath seats
–Carpets
– Mats
–Ash Trays

Joint inspection of the POV.
Damage will be noted on the
DD Form 788.
The DD 788 must be taken to
Pass & ID to de-register the
POV.
The DD 788 is required to
pick up the POV at the
destination VPC.

in Portsmouth.
Until entered, your POV will be shown as on its way TO Lajes.
The web site shows directions to all the VPC locations as well as
phone numbers.
