But we don’t just make them for pets.
Which isn’t to say we’ll be rolling out human-sized Bumper Beds® anytime soon
(sorry!). But it is to say, everything we make takes into account not just what dogs
and cats like, but things their human friends appreciate too.
This year, when we introduced our new Heyday Bed, we made it plump, cozy and velvety for
canines. But we also sewed it from incredibly stain-resistant and water repellant Microsuede,
knowing that pet parents would relish watching spills just bead up and wipe off. We figured
pet owners would appreciate Microsuede’s extreme durability too, as well as stylish colors and
patterns to complement home décor.
Our motivation behind our newest Zogoflex color isn’t just for dogs, either. In 2012, we dreamed up
a way to recycle even more Zogoflex than ever before—enter black Zogoflex. Dogs adore the longlasting gnaw-ability of Zogoflex no matter what color it comes in, and planet-minded people like that
the new hue helps us make a near-zero-waste initiative out of our most popular toy line.
So we think pets, and we think pet owners, but there’s another set of people we also take into
consideration when we make our products—our employees and partners. Our toys, beds and
other products are made in America. So people feel good about buying them, retailers feel good
about selling them, and employees feel good about making them.
And, of course, pets feel good about gnawing, drooling, sleeping and chomping on them.

IntelliLoft® is our own incredibly intelligent eco-fiber, created from
recycled plastic bottles. We use IntelliLoft two ways—to create the
ultra-resilient, fuzzy exteriors of some of our Eco Naps and toys, and
as a premium high-loft stuffing. IntelliLoft is machine washable and
dryer safe, washing clean to eliminate pet odors. To date, IntelliLoft
has helped West Paw Design divert over 8.2 million bottles from the
landfill, turning them instead into toys and beds for lucky pets.
