Besøk familien på Nesset, å ta del i livet på gården slik det var på
1900-tallet. Her holder dyrene til; geiter, griser, høner, kyr
og kaniner. Her har vi også et spennende lekefjøs for de minste!
Visit a family in Nesset and take part in farm life as it was in the 1900s.
Here you can find farm animals such as; goats, pigs, chickens, cows
and rabbits. We also have an exciting play area for the youngest of
farmers to try out.
BESØK MUSEETS PERLER - HIGHLIGHTS
Kunnskapsrike formidlere ønsker deg velkommen til
museets perler; Oppdalstunet, Kystavdelingen
og Byavdelingen med Hans Nissen-gården, Gramgården
og Nattmannshuset.
Knowledgeable guides welcome you to the pearls of the museum;
Oppdals Yard, the Coastal Section and the City Section with the Hans
Nissen house, the Gram house and the Nightman’s house.

An open air medieval camp at the ruins of King Sverre’s castle. Stop by
and try your luck shooting with a bow and arrow, a medieval catapult ,
hammering your own coin and learning about King Sverre’s kingdom.

taktikk, håndtering av sverd, skyt med pil og bue, fyr av en blide og slå mynter.
Barna får kostymer, sverd og skjold. Oppmøte på borgplatået ved Kong
Sverres borg.
Want to become a real medieval warrior? Then you must join the training
camp! Learn about tactics, handling swords, shooting with bows and arrows,
using the catapult and hammering coins. Children get costumes, swords and
shields. We meet at the castle plateau at King Sverre’s castle.

Experience a contrasting time, Trondheims golden age in the 1700s. Who
was the poorest? Who was it’s most suspicious? A wandering journey with
dramatized performances. Suitable for all ages. We meet at the Town Square.

NORSKE FOLKEEVENTYR - NORWEGIAN FOLKTALES
Hva skjedde da gutten kapp åt med trollet? Eller da mannen skulle stelle
hjemme? Hva skjer hvis du klarer å fange solskjenken? Dramatisert og
improvisert eventyrstund for barn og voksne på gården Nesset.
What happened when a boy had an eating match with a Troll? Or when a man
would take care of the home? What happens if you catch the sun light? A fun
mixture of staged and improvised storytelling for children and adults on the
Nesset Farm.

I Giedebogården åpner byavdelingens Hatte -og
modistforretning. Rammen er 1900-tallet, og hattene er
hentet fra to av byens kjente og nedlagte spesialforretninger.
Velkommen inn!
The Old Town now has a new Hats - and millinery shop inspired
by the 1900s. The hats are obtained from two of the city’s most
famous and no longer existing specialty shops. Welcome!

Sommer på Sverresborg betyr liv og aktivitet i hele
friluftsmuseet. Opplevelsene står i kø, og sommeren byr på
mange spennende nyheter. Her er tilbud for både små og store;
vær birkebeinerkriger for en dag, bli en del av 1700-tallets
Trondheim, kanskje møter du selveste Nattmannen! Delta i
gårdslivet på Nesset og hils på dyrene, bli med på byvandringer
og temaomvisninger. Få også med deg et av de mange større
arrangementene denne sommeren.
ÅPNINGSTIDER - ALLE UKEDAGER
Sentralt plassert i friluftsmuseet
ligger ruinene av kong Sverres
middelalderborg, bygd i 1182-83 som
forsvarsverk og kongssete. Kong Sverre
var leder for birkebeinerne, og en av
middelalderens mektigste konger.

Centrally located in the open air museum
are the ruins of King Sverre’s medieval
castle, built in 1182-1183 for defenses and
the royal seat. King Sverre was head of the
Birkebeinerne (the warriors) and one of the
medieval times mightiest kings. Activities in
the camp all day! Panoramic views from the
castle plateau.

Opplev Trondheims historie fra 1700-tallet
til i dag og møt flere av de som i sin tid
bodde her, alt fra Nattmannen til byens rike
kjøpmann Hans Nissen. Besøk deres hjem,
kontorer, verksteder og forretninger eller
nyt en stille stund i Løveapotekets vakre
urtehage.
I friluftsmuseet kan du vandre fra tun til
tun gjennom hele Trøndelag, og besøke
bygninger og anlegg fra de ytterste
kystbygdene til fjellområdene. Turen byr på
vakker natur, kulturlandskap og dyr, flotte
parkanlegg og utsiktpunkter. Underveis
møter du kunnskapsrike og hyggelige
tunverter.
Alle husene i Byavdelingen har stått i sentrum, den gang
Trondheim var en by med lave hus, brede gater og smale
veiter. Boligene lå mot gata, i bakgårdene lå verkstedene,
staller for hestene og utedo. Besøk Colonialen for en
handel, prøv hatter i Hatte- og modistforretningen, besøk
det gamle tannlegekontoret eller Løveapoteket med den
vakre urtehagen, stig inn overklassens hjem fra 1700-tallet
eller besøk byens mest forhatte hus, Nattmannshuset. I
bakgårdene ligger skomaker-, malerverksteder og trykkeriet.

1700s to today. Meet several of the people
who lived there, such as the Nightman to
a rich merchant, Hans Nissen. Visit their
homes, offices, workshops and stores or
enjoy a quiet moment in Lion Pharmacy’s
beautiful herb garden.
In the open-air museum, you can walk from
yard to yard throughout Trøndelag visiting
buildings and facilities from the outer
most coastal villages to the mountainous
areas. The trip offers beautiful scenery,
landscapes, animals, great parks and
viewpoints. Along the way you can meet
knowledgeable and friendly hostesses.

… ALONG THE OLD TOWN STREETS …
All the houses in the Old Town have stood in the real city
center, the time Trondheim was a city of low houses, wide
streets and narrow alleys. Houses faced the street and
in the backyards were workshops, stables for horses and
outhouses. Visit the old grocery shop for a trade, try on hats
at the Hats - and millinery shop, visit the old dental office,
the Lion Pharmacy with the beautiful herb garden, walk into
the upper class homes from the 1700s or visit the city’s most
hated house, the Nightman`s house. In the back streets you
can find the shoe maker, paint shops and printing press.

Summer at Sverresborg means life and activities throughout
the outdoor museum. In addition to the many exciting activities
that already exist at Sverresborg the summer offers many new
experiences to this sensational program. We have offers for
all ages; Be a warrior for a day, become a part of the 1700s
Trondheim, maybe meet the Nightman himself, participate in the
life of Nesset Farm and greet the animals or join city walks and
themed tours. You could also see one of the many major events
happening this summer.
