Med ein snittalder på berre 29 år er gammaldansgruppa Lendmenn eit friskt tilfang i
miljøet, og dei spelar musikken med eit ungdommeleg og utåtvent preg. Gruppa vart
starta i 2005, og har i løpet av ti år etablert seg som ei av landets beste innan sin sjanger.
Debutalbumet ”Den fyrste” er ei ærleg og god plate med drivande runddansmusikk,
innspelt i heimbygda Lom med dansarar i lokalet. Repertoaret er sprekt og variert med ei
god blanding av tradisjonelle og nyare komposisjonar.
“Lendmenn” is a young and enthusiastic group with deep roots in the traditional round
dance music in Norway. They had their first job as a band in 2005, and during the last
decade they have established them selves as one of best groups in the genre. Their debut
album is called “Den fyrste”, which means “The first”, and is recorded live with audience
and dancers. They describe the album as “honest and authentic with a good balance
between good old traditional tunes as well as new ones”.
