ABOUT US
Who we are and What we do
Energía Aljaval is a Spanish company with international active
presence. We rely on a large team of professionals who have
developed their careers in major companies within the renewable
energy industry. Whithin the last three years of professional
activity we have consolidated our three main lines of business, i.e.
Project Development, Engineering and PPA (Power Purchase
Agreement) negotiation for various technologies such as
Photovoltaic Solar Power ground mounted and roofs-top, Wind
Power, Co-generation and Biomass.

We are currently develop in over 30 photovoltaic solar power
projects in Mexico, which together add up to over 1,500 MW
always operating with local partners. In line with our strategic plan,
we started en 2016 to develop photovoltaic solar and wind power
projects in Morocco. Besides that Energía Aljaval is active in the
LATAM and MENA regions, mainly in countries such as Chile, Iran,
Pakistan and Algeria.

Our team has working expertise on 4 continents, with successful
projects being developed in Spain, Italy, France, UK, Morocco, South
Africa, Ecuador, Colombia, Chile, Mexico and India.
Altogether we have developed, designed, constructed, operated and

LINES OF BUSINESS
Energía Aljaval has three main lines of business: Project Development,
Engineering and commercialisation of energy through the negotiation
of PPA contracts. Project Development and Engineering ends with the
delivery of the projects once these have reached RTB (Ready To Build)
status.
In parallel, we are involved in negotiating the PPA to sell the energy the
project will generate for the final customer.
In the case of PV projects, to the above two lines of business shall be
added also carrying out the EPC and O&M.

PROJECT DEVELOPMENT
Energía Aljaval’s main business activity is the Promotion and Development of projects to generate electrical
power from renewable energies:
- Searching and
contracting land (or rooftop in case of PV) suitable
in terms of technology,
required permits and
project profitability.
- Assistance until the
project has been gone
through an Investor’s Due
Diligence, as well as during
EPC and O&M.
- Designing the Basic
Engineering Project
-Incorporation of SPVs
(Specific Purpose Vehicles
or Entities)
- Obtaining all the
necessary permits to begin
the construction of the
project and to finally gridconnect the power plant,
such as:

and local authorisations
•Utilities’ connection and
transport permits.

PPA
With the purpose of increasing profitability and security for investors in our
power plant projects, Energia Aljaval
creates a portfolio o fmedium and large
power consumers forwhich we design
a commercial offer to sign with them a
medium-long term PPAin order to best
meet their electricity needs and maximize their savings.
Benefits:
Financial savings in comparison to
the power supplied by the Utili- ties.
IIn order to do so, it is necessary to carry out a detailed electricity consumption study of the consumer, based on an
extended consumption profile obtained
through their bills. Finally the power is
supplied through the existing electrical
infrastructure and the consumer remains at all times connected to the grid,
needed toguaranty the supply for the times (night-time) when the power plant is
not operating.

as the consumer can always rely
on the national electricity grid
supply.

ENGINEERING
Energía Aljaval has an Engineering Department with the ability to carry out
all types of preliminary studies, basic
project designs, detailed project designs, project management, third party
tender, supply of equipment, O&M, etc.
Energía Aljaval provides to the client a
team of Engineers and Project Managers with more than 10 years’ experience in the design of electrical systems,
mainly for renewable energypower
plants, and which is able to advise on
technical matters throughout the entire development stage of the project.

EPC
Energía Aljaval has the capacity to include the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) stages of their
PV ground mounted and roof-top solutions offering to
the client turn-key projects where the design, engineering, construction and operation of the system are carried out together with the provision of the system.
We offer complete turn-key solutions from one single
source, thus achieving a more efficient service and ensuring compliance with the timings established and the
costs quoted.

construction and operation of the

LINES OF BUSINESS
O&M
Energía Aljaval currently offers O&M only for PV
projects on roof-tops, thus completing the value
chain for this type of project.
Through this service we optimise the investment
made in these projects, as we manage to extend
their operational lifespan by preventing deterioration of the system in the following ways: Monitoring being the most important part of the O&M
service, helps to provide a fast response to any incident. Preventive maintenance of the plant ensures
maximum availability and optimal production, thus
reducing downtimes to a great extent. Corrective
maintenance corrects errors within the shortest
space of time in the event of failure.
We optimise the investment made in your
project and manage to extend the operational
lifespan of the same.
SCOPE OF ACTION
WIND POWER
Our team has developed 119 MW of wind power plants. In 2016
we e have started to develop wind power projects in Morocco
and Mexico.
CO-GENERATION
Energía Aljaval’s Engineering Department has the capacity to
design the best and most efficient solutions for industrial
clients, where their own electricity and thermal power
production processes may become crucial components, to
increase the competitiveness of the company. Additionally to
this improvement, CO2 emissions will be reduced; there will
be a lesser use of water and greater reliability and stability of
the electrical system. Aljaval is capable of developing your
co-generation turnkey projects.
Potential clients with whom we may work in this sector are
industrial entrepreneurs of the paper, agricultural food products,
textile and drug industries, as well as other manufacturers with
high consumption of electricity and thermal power for their
processes.
PV GROUND MOUNTED
Energía Aljaval currently develops over 30 utility-scale ground mounted
PVprojects in several countries together with various local partners,
adding deployed power in excess of 1,500 MW. The first 100 MW of
these projects have already attained the Ready To Build status.
PV ROOF -TOP
With regard to the PV roof-top projects, we offer our services through
our four lines of business:Project Development, PPA negotiation,
EPC and O&M. We are currently working on several projects in various
countries ranging from 100kW to 4MW.
BIOMASS
At Energía Aljaval we also develop renewable energy projects based on
the use of biomass (it may be from forests, livestock farms, waste from
agro-food products, etc.).
Electrical production using biomass has an enormous development
potential in many countries of the world, together with other significant
benefits such as the creation of employment, development of the
rural areas and contribution to improve the environment.
