Specialty confections used milk chocolate, white
chocolate or dark chocolate and combinations along
with nut pieces and pastes, baked crunchies (cookie or

cakes, brownies and muffins used confectionery ingredients either within and/or outside. Baked snacks also
had some unique textures. Branded confections and
branded products from other food categories were used
in confectionery applications. A number of companies
had confectionery ingredients for hot and cold beverages which included a unique “almond powder” beverage. Flavors extended to salt and sweet, extra spicy,
savory and fruity.
