New Banking System!
We want to thank you for your patience over the past few months. You helped us
break in our new toy, and things might have taken us a wee bit longer than usual.
There are lots of new features to help us better serve you, our member. Our new
banking system will allow us to offer more enhanced online services like e-transfers,
remote deposit capture, a mobile app and more – we can’t wait!
Our TeleService Team helped lots of members set up online banking and answered
questions about the changes. A common question we received was about the new
online banking Personal Access Code (PAC) requirements and security. Your PAC
has changed to between four and seven digits only and we want to assure you that
your online banking is secure as ever. The two phase login process and increased
authentication question ensures it’s you logging in and helps protect your account
information. If you are interested in going one step further with online security, we
offer Direct Alerts that notify you by email or text when your account is logged into. For more information on Direct Alerts or
if you have any questions on security, reach out to us at westoba.com or call 1-877-WESTOBA.

Building Community
ONE BBQ AT A TIME
September 12th marked the
annual rematch between the
Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the
Saskatchewan Roughriders after the
Labour Day Classic….The Banjo Bowl.
To celebrate this infamous game, Westoba held a
community charity BBQ at our Pembina Hwy branch
in Winnipeg, which is perfectly located just steps from
Investors Group Field!
That afternoon, Westoba staff hosted members
and the community-at-large in support of KidSport
Manitoba. Kim Browning, Director of Marketing for
Kidsport Manitoba attended and was pleased that we
chose their organization “It really just makes sense.
Westoba is all over Manitoba, and the funds raised are
used to support children everywhere,” says Browning.
“Thismeansfiveorsixmorekidscanplayasportthis
year, and for that we are truly grateful.”
The event raised over $500 and was enjoyed by staff,
members and football fans.

What we heard
from you, our members…
This spring, we asked you to tell us how we’re doing in our Member

grateful to each and every one of you! To follow are some highlights:

What are we doing
with this information?
Your opinion matters to us. Our credit union is only as strong as
our members are happy.Your feedback is being used in our business
planning process. For example, it came across loud and clear that
we need to do a better job in the area of technology. With our new
banking system, we will be able to offer enhanced online services
like e-transfers (coming in early 2016), a mobile app and more! This
spring we launched a new website and feedback received so far has
been positive. This is great to hear but it doesn’t mean that we’ve
stopped looking at ways to make it better. This summer we launched
online chat and we’re always working on more interactive options to
make dealing with us more convenient.
In the area of Financial Planning, we see a need to help members

development of a

enhancement for
Brandon and area. The purpose of this project is to create
infrastructure for low cost and accessible opportunities for
children and adults to be more physically active. Westoba
believes in building strong communities and that is what the
project is all about. We are excited to get behind it and we’ve
committed $3,000 over the next two years in support. We
understand how sports pull a community together. There
is nothing like sitting amongst neighbors, friends and family
cheering on the home team!
