Charlson Thun Bandstand Dedication Day
Wednesday, May 18, 2016 - 5:30 pm
The City of Victoria, in partnership with Community Involvement Endowment, Inc. and Charlson Meadows, is pleased
to announce dedication plans for the Charlson Thun Community Bandstand. Dedication activities are scheduled for
Wednesday, May 18, 2016 and will be held on the bandstand stage, located in downtown Victoria.
10:00 am - 2:00 pm: Jack and Kitty, an Emmy Award winning folk duo, based in Minneapolis, will be performing "on stage"
throughout the day for selected Schools of Eastern Carver County classes. Jack and Kitty describe their program as "organic
vaudeville folk"; the program is one of the "most in-demand" musical acts for children. The Jack and Kitty performances are
sponsored by the Arts Consortium of Carver County.
All Day: In concert with the mission of supporting community visual and performing arts, the Charlson Thun Community
Bandstand Dedication activities will include an Eastern Carver County Schools "juried arts" program. Selected entries will be
displayed in the Victoria Library and hosted by the Friends of the Victoria Library.
5:30 pm - Charlson Thun Community Bandstand Dedication Ceremony
6:00 - 7 :30 pm - FIRST ever Charlson Thun Community Bandstand concert-in-the-park, sponsored by the City of Victoria and
concert-in-the park donors. The performers, the Rockin' Hollywoods, were inducted into the "Minnesota Music Hall of Fame" on
November 2, 2007 and the "Minnesota Rock & Country Hall of Fame" on April 28, 2007. The group presents solid gold rock 'n
roll through the decades with energy and excitement. Everyone is invited to the concert/party!
Charlson Meadows and the Community Involvement, Inc. wishes to thank the many donors and supporters who have made the Bandstand
possible: City of Victoria; Cornerstone Insurance; Cuzzy's Restaurants (Victoria, Chaska and Minneapolis); Deer Run Golf Club; Floyd's Bar;

Gentle Flow Yoga
Vinyasa Flow Yoga
Gentle flow is a yoga practice that
keeps the movements between
postures simple and slow. This class
is designed for beginning students
as well as practiced yogis looking for
a slower paced practice. We move
through traditional postures to warm
muscles and explore the range of
motion in our joints, moving into gentle
strengthening postures and ending
class with both deep stretches and
restorative postures so that we go
home feeling good. We will move from
floor postures to standing, students
must be able to bear weight on knees
and wrists. We can modify postures
to fit the needs of individual students.
Please inform the instructor of illness,
injury or physical conditions that might
impact your practice. Please bring a
yoga mat to class
Vinyasa flow is a style of yoga in which traditional yoga postures are connected
with graceful movements, and each movement is connected to our breath. This is
a vigorous class with sequences to build strength and lengthen muscles. Designed
to meet the needs of students familiar with the basic postures of yoga and those
interested in exploring a larger range of posture options. This is a multi-level
class; variations will be recommended to accommodate for variations of strength,
flexibility, balance, and personal interest in exploring new or challenging poses.
Healthy, happy, and feeling good—join us if that is your goal.
