AUCTION RULES
• The Silent Auction will begin promptly when
the doors open, and continue without interruption
until all sections have been closed by the
Auctioneer's announcement.
• Payment by the successful bidder should be
made by the end of the evening. Payment may
be made with all major credit cards, approved
checks or cash.
• All checks should be made payable to: Horn
Academy PTO
• Horn Academy PTO has attempted to describe
and catalog all items correctly and all items are
offered “as is/where is”. All sales are final and
there will be no exchanges or refund.
• All auction items must be removed from event
venue on the evening of the auction. A “Paid”
receipt, obtained from the auction cashier, must
be presented before items can be removed. For
large items, please make arrangements for
pickup with the Charity. If you do not take your
item home the night of the event there will be
a $35.00 charge. If you do not pick up your
item within 2 weeks the item will be returned
to Horn Academy for resale.
• The auction checkout invoice should serve as
your official receipt for items purchased. The
value set forth for each item is a good faith
estimate of the fair market value as required by
the IRS. Please consult your tax professional.
• Unless otherwise specified, all auction travel
items and services must be used within one year
of the auction date.
• Conduct of the auction and increments of
bidding are at the direction and discretion of the
Auctioneer. In the case of a tie bid, the
Auctioneer has final say on the bid winner. In the
silent auction, bidding must follow the pre-printed
increments on the silent auction bid form. No
write-in bids will be accepted.
• Each person issued a bid number assumes all
risks and hazards related to the auction and
items obtained at the auction. Each bidder
agrees to hold harmless from any liability arising
there from Horn Academy PTO, its elected and
appointed officials, members, and employees,
the auctioneer, the auction company and its
agents and employees, the event organizers,
sponsors, and or volunteers connected with the
auction.
• The auction is conducted under TDLR rules
and regulations by Greer Auction Services, LLC
