To register online, have your child’s Sachem Library card handy and
go to the Library’s website, http://www.sachemlibrary.org/. From the main
page, click on Register for a Program and enter the program name or program code.
• Please adhere to all posted age and grade requirements and registration
restrictions for programs or the registration will not be valid.
• Upon registration, you MUST enter the CHILD’S NAME and AGE/GRADE
child is entering in the note to instructor field.
To accommodate as many Sachem children as possible, you may register your child for a limited
number of programs per registration date. This restriction will be lifted starting Friday, June 14
at 9:30 a.m. (by telephone or online). Multiple registrations over the posted limits per child, per
registration date before June 14, will result in the Library deleting your additional programs at
our discretion.
If you have any questions about which programs you registered for, go to our website and click
My Account, scroll down and click Sign In; then enter the registrant’s barcode or user name,
and password. This will display all programs that library cardholder is registered for. Please
make sure that your phone number is updated in your record as the Library may need
to contact you about your programs.
Helpful Hints
for Registration:
1. Obtain or renew your child’s library card
before the registration date.
2. Moved recently? Changed your phone number?
Have a new e-mail address? Update your family’s information
on each library record online or in person at the library.
3. Stop in or call in advance with your questions about birthdates,
siblings, or program descriptions. Children must meet age or
grade requirements by the first day of the program.
4. Busy or working? Provide a friend or relative with the child’s library card
and have them register for you. However, no adult may register for
more than one additional family. (When registering for a friend online,
you’ll need the pin # and barcode for each child you are registering).
5. If your child requires special accommodations for a disability, please let
us know at least two weeks prior to the beginning of the program.
6. Due to inclement weather the library may close. If weather
conditions are severe, please call ahead before heading
out to attend programs. If the library is closed
on a registration day, that registration
will take place online only.
ALTERNATE TICKET POLICY
Find yourself suddenly free for the day? Do you have cousins or grandchildren
visiting for the summer? Then head to the library! We often have spaces available
on program days due to cancellations and no-shows. Alternate tickets are given out
15 minutes before each program at the children’s services desk. Once the program
starts, we will determine how many alternate ticket holders can be admitted.
No guarantees can be made. Children utilizing the alternate tickets
must still meet age or grade requirements for each program.
Programs in the brochure marked with an * will not accept
alternates as they require attendance for several sessions.
COMING IN AUGUST...
The summer is not over yet. Check out the library’s August
newsletter for the Back-to-School make and takes.
