The Hollymont Spirit Sharing the Love...One Shoebox at a Time Once again the Hollymont family has come together and generously given to help those in need. Our mission project this summer was Operation Christmas Child, a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse, which provides basic necessities to impoverished children all over the world. With all of our toiletries, toys, games, candy and other fun items we were able to fill over 70 shoeboxes! And most importantly, many thanks to all of you who donated to this amazing cause! We are very excited to see how God will use these gifts in the lives of these children. Several staff were on hand to help them celebrate and say “I DO” on August 24. They will be living in Black Mountain, NC where Michael is working for Camp Rockmont and Jessica will soon be working as a nurse. Katie Cooper is enjoying her new job as Communications Director at Central Church in Memphis, TN. We know she will do a great job and are excited for this new chapter in her life! Art teacher, Shelby Robinson, recently won a t-shirt design contest and was awarded a $1,000 scholarship towards her college education. Congratulations Shelby! During the B2 session, Seth Blankenship—Hollymont Man extraordinaire—was awarded the Silent Angel award for his seven years of sacrificial service to the many women of Hollymont! Here is a tasty recipe to keep you going until next summer! Let us know if you have any great recipes or ideas you want to share! S’mores Cookies Ingredients: Roll of refrigerated sugar cookie dough Chocolate candy bars Mini marshmallows Directions: Roll out the dough and cut into squares. Place 3 small squares of chocolate on the dough and as many marshmallows as you would like then place another piece of dough over the top and "crimp" the edges with a fork. Bake using cookie dough heating instructions. Enjoy! True Colors HOW! To all of this Summer’s Totem Pole Winners!
