The Hollymont Spirit
Sharing the Love...One Shoebox at a Time
Once again the Hollymont family
has come together and generously
given to help those in need. Our
mission project this summer was
Operation Christmas Child, a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse, which provides basic necessities to impoverished children all over the world.
With all of our toiletries, toys, games,
candy and other fun items we were
able to fill over 70 shoeboxes!

Many thanks to our CIT’s for compiling and organizing
all of those boxes! And most importantly, many thanks
to all of you who donated to this amazing cause! We
are very excited to see how God will use these gifts in
the lives of these children. For more information on

Staff Spotlight...
Congratulations to Michael and Jessica (Gardner) Peckham on their recent marriage. Several
staff were on hand to help them celebrate and say “I DO” on August 24. They will be living
in Black Mountain, NC where Michael is working for Camp Rockmont and Jessica will soon
be working as a nurse.
Katie Cooper is enjoying her new job as Communications Director at Central Church in Memphis,
TN. We know she will do a great job and are excited for this new chapter in her life!
Art teacher, Shelby Robinson, recently won a t-shirt design contest and was awarded a $1,000
scholarship towards her college education. Congratulations Shelby!
During the B2 session, Seth Blankenship—Hollymont Man extraordinaire—was awarded the Silent
Angel award for his seven years of sacrificial service to the many women of Hollymont! We love
you, Seth, oh yes we do...
