Pressure Sensitive Frame Sealing Tape
Archival quality, acid-free and lignin-free. Used to seal off raw
wood rabbets and fillets to protect the art and seal filler boards
to the frame. Adheres to most wood, cardboard, glass, metals
& plastics. Blue/gray color and foil backing with permanent
inert acrylic adhesive. While this adhesive is reversible with
mineral spirits, it is difficult to remove. Should not be applied
directly to any artwork.

Self-Adhesive Mounting/Hinging Tissue
Here is the solution for mounting
papyrus or thin papers where a hinge
will show. The very thin, long fibered
paper virtually disappears when
applied. A neutral pH acrylic adhesive
won’t turn yellow with age.

between the back of the frame
and backing board. Adheres well

use on heavier prints, photos or
similar items. The type of hinge used depends upon the size
& situation. May be used for both “T” hinges, & folded or

A very strong, thin, acid-free tissue coated
with neutral pH self-stick adhesive.
Provides quick, safe repairs for torn art,
books, or documents. When applied,
the tape virtually disappears to give an

Paper and Board pH Testing Pen
For distinguishing between safe alkaline &
unsafe acidic paper & board. Spot test mat
board, envelopes & paper. The chlorophenol
red indicator solution turns a definite purple
color on any paper with a pH of 6-8 or higher.
Any other color would indicate a material most
likely unsuitable for conservation purposes.

Gummed Linen Tape
Acid-free tape with a high thread count
cloth with a water activated neutral
pH adhesive (removable with water).
Used for hinging or hinge repair. Also
used for the reinforcement of folders,
envelopes, boxes, etc. The adhesive
works well with paper, board and most
porous surfaces. It will not adhere to
plastic, metal or glass.

Archival “See Thru” Mounting Strips
For safe, hingeless mounting of artwork to mats. Made from
Dupont archival Mylar. Attached to acid-free paper with
instant self-adhesive backer. Simply attach to the backer board
of the mat. Strips hold the print or photo safely in place. No
adhesive comes in contact with the artwork yet the mounting
strips give positive support. Packaged in 4” and 12” lengths,
easily cut to smaller sizes.
