The Granville Recreation District is
committed to making its programs
accessible to all residents of the Granville
Exempted School District. The GRD’s
Financial Assistance Program originated
from donations given in memory of
Grace Dils and helps cover or defray
the cost of program registration fees.
The program was established to help
participants who may need
financial assistance.
If you wish to be considered for financial
support, please email your information

FOR PROGRAMS & SPORTS
Programs: Open to Residents of the
GRD and Non-Residents (those not
residing within the GRD limits) with an
additional $20 Non-Resident Fee that
will be assessed per program enrollment.

Recreation District serves a community
of over 11,000 in partnership with the
Village of Granville, Granville Township
and Granville Exempted Village Schools.

comprehensive overview of strategies
for all parts of the ACT. This is an ideal
option for students with little time
to prepare prior to the test. Students
work with the latest materials, all of
which are provided. The workshop is
uniquely tailored to meet the learning
needs of all the students in the class.

It’s more than just a walk in the park,
moms, dads or caregivers and their little
one can join this fun and interactive
fitness class. This 60-minute class is
designed to help you get back into
shape while spending time with your
child. We will incorporate speed walking
plus lower and upper body exercises

Each class will take place on them bike
path and will begin and end at Wildwood
Park. Children will remain in the stroller
for the duration of the class. Classes are

explore how local animals change over
the course of their life.
The SAT Turbo Workshop provides
college-bound students with a
comprehensive overview of strategies
for all parts of the SAT. This is an ideal
option for students with little time
to prepare prior to the test. Students
work with the latest materials, all of
which are provided. The workshop is
uniquely tailored to meet the learning
needs of all the students in the class.

the PSAT (Nation Merit Scholarship

The Denison Volleyball Team will be
competing in their spring scrimmage
at 9:30AM before the camp begins. All
are welcome to come early and watch!
This Hatha Yoga class is offered as an
opportunity to experience yoga in a
welcoming community atmosphere.
It incorporates asana (yoga postures)
and pranayama (breath work). The
intention is to create a nurturing
environment in which to explore and
practice yoga. If you have been wanting
to learn about yoga or are looking to
find a group to continue your practice
with, this is the class for you.

Volunteer of the Month for January. It’s
a real honor to coach the incredible
group of boys we have this year. Coach
Warner and Coach Black do an excellent
job providing sound technical instruction
and it’s fun to work alongside of them.
We are looking forward to seeing the
wrestling program grow in the future
– it really is a terrific sport for our kids.

in 1972 and are based in Canton, OH.

Returning for a third year in
partnership with the Licking Park
District, we are offering three weeks
of fun-filled weeks of day camp, held
at Infirmary Mound Park. Each week
is built around a theme which opens
the door for imagination, exploration
and fun! We will be outdoors in a
park that offers 316 acres of nature
exploration, trails, pond and indoor
facilities for inclement weather. Each
camp session will include fishing and
half-day field trip. Our camper to staff
ratio is 5:1.

Totally Awesome Worldly Foods
Take your taste buds on a multicultural
adventure. Explore the tastes of several
different cultures and learn easy to make
recipes to enjoy. Design your own apron,
play games and make crafts related to
the culture of the day. The last day of
camp will include a field trip.
Session 02: Olympics Our Way
Get set for the Summer Olympics!
Fun team relays to test your agility,
smarts and silliness. Learn about other
countries and Olympic history as we
create our own Granville style Olympics.
Camp will include an end of the week
field trip.
Session 03: Adventureland
Get ready for the adventure of
your life! This week will be filled with
orienteering, fishing, hiking, canoeing
and kayaking. Love to fish? Learn
casting techniques, how to put bait
on and take the fish off. Campers will
enjoy crafts, games, hikes and more
which will make this the best Adventure
of the summer. Last day of camp will
include a field trip.

Skyhawks Volleyball takes the energy

Cheerleading teaches young athletes
all the essential skills to lead the
crowd and support the team. Each
participant will learn cheers in a fun
and encouraging atmosphere which
include hand and body movements
and jumping techniques. This program
will meet once a week on Sunday
afternoon for an hour as a combination
practice and cheering for the 1st and
2nd grade flag football games.

The format for this age group will be a
clinic that follows the FUN-damentals
of the Field Hockey program developed by USA Field Hockey. This clinic
will teach girls the basics for the game
and introduce a love of the sport by
emphasizing fun. The clinic will run for
three weeks on Sunday evenings from
6:00PM - 7:30PM at the Bryn Du Mansion front lawn. Dates are 9/14 – 9/28.
Players will need to provide shin guards

The Licking Park District is responsible
for much of the mowing and
maintenance of the paved bike paths
that cross our county. They also play
a leadership role in exploring future
bike path development. Current topics
under consideration include a path in
the Pataskala area, as well as a path in
the Heath/Lakewood area. If funding
allows, the District plans to provide
assistance in the repaving project
at Black Hand Gorge State Nature
Preserve in Toboso (eastern
Licking County).

William C. Kraner Nature Center

Education (ONE).
