Tentative Program
4-8 October 2015
The business mission in brief:
Supported by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy (BMWi) and the German
Engineering Federation (VDMA), EKONID, the German-Indonesian Chamber of Industry and
Commerce will be hosting a 5-day business delegation visit to Indonesia from 4th to 8th of
October 2015. The business delegation is especially designed to support the Indonesian
maritime industry and the German companies’ activities abroad.
The program includes information sessions with experts and related associations which are
specifically designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the Indonesian market in general
and the shipbuilding and maritime industry in particular. Business opportunities will be
discussed between Germany and Indonesia.
Visits to important shipyards, ports, coast guard and navy as well as institution and companies
for maritime technology will be organized in Surabaya and Jakarta. The visits include meetings
with the management and discussions of latest trends and technologies.
The program will furthermore bring the German participants to the INDONESIA MARITIME
EXPO 2015 (IME), where they will get further insights into the maritime industry in Indonesia.

d-I davit international GmbH
d-i davit international-hische GmbH is one of the major manufacturers of
davit- and free fall systems as well as lifting appliances and is able to offer
on request also complete delivery of packages including boats and life
rafts. The company is based near Bremen, in Sulingen where it was
founded in 1985. Over 75% of their products are exported through an
international sales organization run by a worldwide network of agencies.
More than 60 qualified employees in their workshop manufacture different davit systems, cranes and
winches based on drawings and calculations carried out in their own design office.
The products are made in Germany and can be used for commercial, civil, military, and particular
shipbuilding purposes. Product applications include offshore oil and gas, navy application, cruise ships,
commercial and special vessels as well as yachts.

Dr.E. Horn GmbH
The Dr. E. Horn GmbH is leading in high-performance sensors,
monitoring and instrumentation systems for diesel and gas engines,
turbines, in the shipbuilding and capital goods market and countless
other applications. 70 employees work on design, engineering and
manufacturing. The company’s systems are characterized by their
compactness as well as easy installation and operation. The company sets the highest standards in
terms of precision and quality. The measuring units of Horn are durable, maintenance free and
universally applicable.
Horn products are in demand throughout the world. More than half of the products are exported
directly.

DW-ShipConsult GmbH
DW-ShipConsult is an international consulting company, which was
founded in 2004 close to Kiel, Northern Germany. The company
serves the maritime industry especially in terms of ship noise and
vibration reduction, underwater noise, hydrodynamics and system
integration. DW-ShipConsult offers custom-made solutions,
consultancy and cooperation throughout the whole project. Past business partners are companies such
as Elta Systems Ltd. or Meyer Werft Germany.
Other well known projects or collaborations include studies on the effects of underwater noise on
marine mammals, noise and vibration measurements on MLC compliance, and providing consultancy on
several ship designs.

ENEX GmbH
Established in 1972, ENEX is an independent stockist with its own
warehouse for the segment of Sulzer and MAN 2- and 4-stroke diesel
engines. Their warehouse, which is located in Hamburg contains a
wide range of spare parts, from the smallest O-ring to cylinder covers.
All spare parts that are distributed by them are based on the quality
standards of the original manufacturer.
ENEX realizes also projects in the area of building and maintaining power plant engines.
The latest business fields are promoting BIOND® Ballast Water Treatment System, retrofitting of bulkers

Helzel Messtechnik founded in 1995, specialises on the development
and production of environmental and oceanographic measurement

As system vendor and engineering service provider IMG belongs to the

construction and wind energy industries. Their core competencies are

engineering as well as pipeline systems and tank construction. KABE’s
engineering department offers designs, FE-calculationsand workshop

The core business of marine technik GmbH is the design and
manufacturing of ship automation and switchboards. Their scope
of products include ships propulsion and anti heeling control
systems, alarm monitoring systems for the machinery plant, tank

the association include providing members with specialist advisory and support services and
representing their interests in public and vis-à-vis political institutions. The VSM also promotes technical

The German maritime equipment industry is market leading in Europe. The specific strength of the
German companies lies in the export of their products, which accounts for up to 60 percent of their
activities. This makes Germany the world leader in the maritime equipment market.
VDMA
VDMA (German Engineering Federation) is one of the largest industrial
associations in Europe and represents over 3,100 member companies in the
engineering industry. The VDMA covers the entire engineering sector:
everything from component manufacturers, machine builders, plant erectors,
system suppliers and system integrators through to service providers. The
VDMA is based in Frankfurt with political representations in Brussels and
Berlin. The VDMA Marine Equipment and Systems as part of the VDMA, the largest industrial association
