Look Who’s GRAND…
W
hat a great time we all had for Easter. Grandma Darlene
(Alan’s mom) cooked for everyone. Kensey, Jake and Abby
played outside: a little kick ball,
badminton and, of course, hiding Easter
eggs. The whole family was there for
lunch, and family time is really hard to
come by with everyone’s busy
schedules. I took Kensey shopping a
few weeks ago for some summer
clothes, brought back the memories
of the Jon Marc kids’ department,
although she is more of a teen! In
fact, she actually was able to wear
one of Sympli’s summer dresses for a dance at
school! And she can wear Onex shoes! Not only her, but Abby was able to get a
tunic top and use as a dress! Both girls love to wear the Brighton flip flops from
Libby’s! They were excited to wear clothes from Grandma’s store. Jake was
happy to play on the computer while the girls shopped. He said he was glad he
was a boy! These grands are growing up so fast! Just like the store being 10 years old. Time
flies when you are having fun!!
During our Birthday Celebration, we sold Lucky
Crystal Jordan of
Ashe Hospice
received a $1500
check from Libby.
This made a total of
$15,000 in the last 10
years from our
customers with their
purchase of a Libby
Card. Remember, a
limited number are
sold and we are out
unl next year.

A message every adult should read, because children
are watching you and doing as you do, not as you say.
• When you thought I wasnt looking, I saw you hang my first painting on the refrigerator, and I immediately wanted to
paint another one.
• When you thought I wasnt looking, I saw you feed a stray cat, and I learned that it was good to be kind to animals.
• When you thought I wasnt looking, I saw you make my favorite cake for me and I learned that the little things can be
the special things in life.
• When you thought I wasnt looking, I heard you say a prayer, and I knew there is a God I could always talk to and I
learned to trust in God.
• When you thought I wasnt looking, I saw you make a meal and take it to a friend who was sick, and I learned that we all
have to help take care of each other.
• When you thought I wasnt looking, I saw you take care of our house and everyone in it and I learned we have to take
care of what we are given.
• When you thought I wasnt looking, I saw how you handled your responsibilities, even when you didnt feel good and I
learned that I would hve to be responsible when I grow up.
• When you thought I wasnt looking, I saw tears come from your eyes and I learned that somethings things hurt, but its
all right to cry.
• When you thought I wasnt looking, I saw that you cared and I wanted to be everything I could be.
• When you thought I wasnt looking, I learned most of lifes lessons that I need to know to be a good productive person
when I grow up.
• When you thought I wasnt looking, I looked at you and wanted to say, Thanks for all the things I saw when you thought
I wasnt looking.

It’s been 10 years, so it’s me to bring her back with her
famous “Fashion, Fun and Feelings.”
Since her last visit, she started a naonal magazine in 2009
(which I was on the cover) that goes out to retailers across the US
and Canada. TJ is a consultant for hundreds of apparel stores and
manufacturers. She is a wife, mother, a grandmother and a real
woman, like you and me. You will appreciate her experse, fashion
sense and fun atude!
If you saw her before, you will want to see her again.
Because aer 10 years, her program has changed. If you have
never seen her, then you definitely don’t want to miss this
opportunity!
Tickets can be purchased at Libby’s. A $25 cket includes
brunch and show at Jefferson Landing. Reserve your spot now.
Limited seang. August 25. Brunch 10:00 am and Show 10:30 am.

HOW TO ATTACK SERIOUS STAINS
COME
CLEAN
I
FOOD SPILLS Prompt washing
with regular detergent will clear
up most food- and drink-related
spots. For best results, pretreat the
area with a stain remover (keep
one in your bag), then launder
with detergent and fabric-safe
bleach at the hottest temperature
allowed on the care tag.
DARK DYE RUB-OFF Submerge items in a bath of
Rit Color Remover then wash. (Note: This product
removes all dyes, so it’s only for totally white
garments.) Or immerse any bleach-safe garment
for up to five minutes in a solution of 1/4 cup
bleach per gallon of water. Follow by washing in
hot water with regular detergent and 3/4 cup
bleach.
PERSPIRATION Those yellowtinged underarm stains are
usually caused by a
combination of sweat and
antiperspirant. Salvage shirts
by soaking them in 3 gallons
water plus 1 ounce enzymebased detergent like Tide
Total Care before washing in
the hottest water permitted
by the care label. Add
bleach, if allowed.
MAKEUP Lift oily
cosmetics such as
lipstick and
foundation by
laying your shirt
(stain down) on a
washcloth and
pushing mild dishwashing soap into
the fabric with
another washcloth.
Repeat, using a
clean section of
cloth, until makeup
no longer transfers.
Rinse with warm
water, pretreat any
remaining spots,
and launder.
t’s time to start
hitting that
little white ball!
We have several
groups of “EP
Pro” in the store,
along with golf
shoes from “Sandbaggers” on sale
for only $75. There are also golf
gloves by “Glove It,” But if you aren’t
a golfer, some of these outfits are
great casual wear for summertime, no
matter what your game is.
